Chapter 450: Chapter 450: One Trouble After Another

Chloe Reed looked at her impassively and said, "Why don’t you go abroad?"

"Why should I be the one to leave?!" Sunny Reed’s eyes were red. "I haven’t done anything wrong, so why am I the one left to bear the consequences for everything?!"

A look of confusion crossed Chloe Reed’s face. "But what could you possibly do if you stay?"

Sunny Reed glared at her resentfully. Her lips moved, but she said nothing more.

Walker Grant said, "Let’s go."

Sunny Reed’s head snapped toward him. "You ungrateful bastard! I saved you back then out of the goodness of my heart, and this is how you repay me? You’ll die a miserable death!"

Walker Grant’s gaze was cold and full of disgust. He ignored her words and turned to walk away.

"Walker Grant!"

Sunny Reed was furious at being ignored. She let out a hysterical scream, but it was to no avail.

Once in the car, Chloe Reed breathed a sigh of relief.

’We found her. Grandma can be saved!’

However, the relief was fleeting, quickly replaced by a heavy weight in her heart.

’Why would Miles Hawthorne do this?’

’What was his ultimate goal?’

’Is he working with the people who hired mercenaries to kill me?’

Chloe Reed couldn’t make sense of it. She turned and looked out the window.

Walker Grant glanced at her expression and asked, "What’s on your mind?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Chloe said, "It’s nothing."

But Walker Grant didn’t believe her. Her expression was too complex; she was simply unwilling to tell him what was on her mind.

Walker Grant lowered his gaze slightly, schooling his features.

The car drove toward the city. Sunny Reed had been placed in the vehicle behind them.

They were just about to reach the hospital when Walker Grant’s phone rang.
