Claire Monroe stood before Sunny Reed, guiding her into a hypnotic state and leading her to the sofa.
Walker Grant and Nathaniel Monroe both watched.
Nathaniel Monroe found it fascinating. ’Can she really hypnotize someone without a specific setting?’
’This is unbelievable!’
’If his sister hypnotized him while he wasn’t looking and made him spill his bank PIN or sign some contract—like signing his life away—wouldn’t he be totally screwed?’
’How do you even defend against that?’
Sunny Reed was now under hypnosis. Her eyes had lost their focus completely, and she answered whatever Claire Monroe asked.
Soon, Sunny Reed began speaking about the poison.
"My grandmother gave it to me. I don’t know how it’s made."
Her cadence was slow, her voice low.
Walker Grant’s sharp brows furrowed. He glanced at Claire Monroe.
Claire Monroe continued her questioning. "And where did your grandmother get the poison?"
"I don’t know. She wouldn’t tell me."
Sunny Reed kept repeating that she didn’t know. After several more attempts with the same result, it was clear she genuinely had no idea.
Claire Monroe snapped her fingers again. Sunny Reed’s eyes fluttered shut, and she instantly fell into a deep sleep.
She said, "She won’t have any memory of being hypnotized. You can rest easy."
Walker Grant nodded and then headed outside.
The group walked out together. Claire Monroe said bluntly, "Remember to wire the payment to my account."
