Chloe Reed’s eyes widened at the news, and she urgently grabbed Walker Grant’s arm.
Walker Grant clasped her hand in his and asked Claire Monroe in a composed tone, "Which country did he go to?"
"Island B."
Claire Monroe took a deep breath and asked, "Did he find a trace of Iris? Is he going to look for her?"
The answer was all but certain.
The only thing that could make Nathaniel Monroe act so irrationally was Iris.
He had left without a word to anyone.
Walker Grant’s tone grew grave. "I’ll send people to intercept him and bring him back."
Claire Monroe replied gravely, "I’m counting on you. Nothing can happen to him."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Walker Grant turned to Chloe Reed and said, "Call Dylan Finch."
Chloe Reed found Dylan Finch’s contact info and made the call. It rang three times before connecting. "Hello, Mr. Grant."
Walker Grant said gravely, "Nathaniel Monroe has gone to Island B. Contact Lucas Shaw. Use whatever means necessary to stop him."
Dylan Finch froze for a second, then quickly grasped the gravity of the situation. "Right. I’m on it."
The call ended, and a slight frown creased Walker Grant’s brow. "So reckless."
’Nathaniel only just recovered. He can’t even beat Daniel Hayes. How could he dare go looking for Iris all by himself?’
Just then, a cold, electronic female voice spoke up. "He has a clear objective. Does that mean he knows where Iris is?"
Even through the electronic voice, Walker Grant could sense her urgency.
He said, "You showed him those photos before, didn’t you? He must have spotted a clue in them."
Chloe Reed’s expression was exceptionally grave.
