Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce novel Chapter 722

Chapter 722: Chapter 722: Go Find Iris Yates

Chloe Reed’s expression was a little tense. She lowered her gaze, terrified that her voice would never recover.

’What would I do then?’

’Could I still pursue the voice acting career I love?’

After checking the pulse in both wrists, Fiona Linton said, "Your overall health is improving well under my care, but the damage to your vocal cords is quite severe. We’ll need to continue treatment for a while longer. Try not to stress about it too much. You will get better."

Fiona Linton looked at her with genuine sincerity, wanting to keep Chloe Reed’s imagination from running wild.

Anxious thoughts would only hinder her recovery.

Chloe Reed nodded, accepting her words.

Next, Fiona Linton walked over to Walker Grant and said, "Let me take a look at you."

Sitting on the sofa, Walker Grant murmured his assent.

After removing the gauze, Fiona Linton pried open Walker Grant’s eyelids, then took out a penlight and shone it into his eyes.

"Can you perceive any light?"

she asked, carefully observing the state of his pupils.

"No."

Walker Grant replied flatly.

After checking both eyes, Fiona Linton put the penlight away and proceeded to take his pulse.

After a moment, she stood up and said, "You’re both on the road to recovery. So, no need to rush things, alright?"

"Thank you, Doctor Linton," Walker Grant said coolly, his tone tinged with detachment.

Fiona Linton glanced at him and pursed her lips before turning to Chloe Reed, her eyes sparkling. "Chloe, can you come out and wander around with me today? I’ve never been to Breyburn before. I have no idea what’s good to eat or fun to do around here."

After breakfast, Walker Grant handed his phone to Chloe Reed. "The passcode is our wedding anniversary," he said. "Give Nathaniel Monroe a call and ask him to come over."

Chloe Reed took his phone and stared at the lock screen wallpaper—it was a photo of the two of them.

They were standing in a sea of flowers; she was hugging his waist, and he was holding the phone. Her smile was radiant, while his lips held a gentle curve. Both were looking at the camera, looking utterly happy and joyful.

It was a photo from a trip they had taken together during college, two years after they started dating.

Her eyes began to sting. She blinked, forcing her emotions down, then unlocked his phone and dialed Nathaniel Monroe’s number.

The line rang until the call disconnected automatically.

Nathaniel Monroe hadn’t answered.

Walker Grant furrowed his brow slightly. Just as he was about to say something, Claire Monroe’s name flashed across the screen.

Chloe Reed answered the call, and Claire Monroe’s stern voice came through the line. "Walker Grant, that little brat is gone! I tracked his movements—he got on a plane and left Breyburn last night!"
