"What are you doing? Let go!"
Chloe Reed was shocked. She struggled, pushing against his chest with both hands, trying to keep him away.
Walker Grant reeked of alcohol. He pinned her down, his entire body pressing down, flush against hers.
His hot breath fanned across her ear.
"Who did you go see at Blue Night?"
His voice was low and hoarse. As his breath fanned across her ear, a tingling numbness spread from that spot throughout her entire body.
"What are you talking about? I don’t understand. Let me go." Chloe’s voice trembled, scalded by his breath.
’She hated herself for it.’
’She had resolved to let him go, yet here she was, succumbing to his presence.’
’They were so familiar with each other’s bodies.’
’The slightest closeness was enough to trigger the most primal reactions.’
’The attraction was fatal.’
’And the hardest addiction to break.’
’That was why she had been resisting any contact with him.’
But not only did he not let go, he pressed even closer, his thin lips already kissing her ear.
"Chloe, who did you go see? Tell me. Why were you smiling at him? What were you two talking about so happily?"
’Chloe had no idea what he was talking about! He was talking as if *she* were the one who had cheated! But he was clearly the one who had been unfaithful!’
Chloe Reed turned her head away. "I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re drunk. Let me go."
Her fair, slender neck was now exposed before his eyes.
His Adam’s apple bobbed. Her coldness was suffocating him; he wanted her to be passionate, just like before.
