Chapter 72: Chapter 72: She Doesn’t Know What’s Good for Her

Miles Hawthorne turned to have a drink with Walker Grant.

Nathaniel Monroe was sitting next to Walker Grant, and next to Nathaniel was a beautiful woman.

The beautiful woman suddenly leaned toward Nathaniel Monroe, startling him. He dodged to the side, bumping into Walker Grant.

Walker Grant hadn’t even taken a sip before the drink sloshed down his chest.

"Walker, my bad! I didn’t do it on purpose!" Nathaniel Monroe said, quickly apologizing when he saw what happened. He then turned to the beautiful woman. "What’s your problem? Haven’t even had a drink and you’re already drunk?"

The beautiful woman looked at him, her face flushing slightly. "Young Master Monroe, can we add each other on WeChat?"

"..."

Walker Grant’s chest was soaked, leaving him looking rather disheveled.

Someone nearby commented, "There’s a hand dryer in the restroom. You should go dry it. Wearing a wet shirt is really uncomfortable."

Walker Grant frowned. It was indeed uncomfortable, so he headed for the restroom.

Just then, Sunny Reed was coming out. Seeing his soaked shirt, she followed him back inside.

She pulled out a tissue and began to dab at his chest. "What happened?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

But Walker Grant caught her hand. "Sister-in-law, I can do it myself."

Sunny Reed’s hand froze in mid-air. She looked up at his handsome, coldly arrogant face, clutched the tissue tightly, and said, "I’m sorry."

Walker Grant eyed her with suspicion. "What did you say?"

Sunny Reed bit her lip. "About what happened before... I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions and misunderstood my sister. It was all my fault. I want to sincerely apologize, but she refuses to see me. Walker, can you help me?"

Walker Grant said coldly, "If you know that, then you should stay away."

But Sunny Reed pressed, "But we’re sisters. We can’t let this tension continue. It puts you in a difficult position, and it’s even harder on my parents. Our family hasn’t had a proper reunion dinner in years. My parents miss my sister so much."

She pleaded, "Walker, please, just help me. Let me see her, just once. I’ll talk to her, we’ll clear up this misunderstanding, and our family can be happy together again."
