William’s sudden frenzy was too much for Iris Yates to handle. Her entire body fought back, but he pinned her hands down. His heavy frame pressed against her, immobilizing her and forcing her to endure the storm of his kisses.
Iris felt like she was suffocating. She couldn’t understand why his primal instincts had suddenly flared up again just from her petting the cat. The intense lust burning in his blue eyes was like a raging fire, hot enough to melt her away.
"I love you. I love you so much. Baby, I love you," William Quinn murmured, his expression growing increasingly obsessed. He branded his scent and marks onto her skin, as if this was the only way to prove to himself that she belonged to him.
Iris simply closed her eyes, refusing to look at him or respond. However, her detachment only fueled his dissatisfaction. He kissed her even harder, his teeth grazing her collarbone in a punishing bite.
Iris drew in a sharp breath of pain and glared at him. "Are you part dog?"
William’s lips curled into a smile. Between kisses, he murmured, "Yes, baby, I’m a dog. I’m your big dog. The big dog who wants to cuddle with you anytime, anywhere."
Iris was speechless. She realized she shouldn’t say another word to him. Acknowledging him was like flipping a switch inside him, unleashing a torrent of affection she couldn’t possibly fend off.
Fortunately, William didn’t take things any further. Even though his body felt like it was going to explode, he held himself back. Pulling away with lingering desire, he grabbed her hand, placed it on his own head, and began moving it to stroke his hair over and over again.
Iris watched him in absolute shock. Was he actually craving to be petted? Like a little kitten? Could he be any more absurd?
William, however, was thoroughly enjoying himself. Resting his head against her chest, he guided her hand to pet him and closed his eyes in bliss. His only lingering dissatisfaction was that his baby wasn’t doing this willingly. If she initiated the touch, he would undoubtedly be so thrilled that his entire body would go rigid with excitement.
