Chapter 244 A Tree Called Wisdom

Finished

His mother, who used to send him messages and care about him all the time, had been terribly silent lately.

His useless second brother, however, seemed to have been pushed into a corner by their eldest brother.

Recently, he had been training like mad at school, trying to prove himself.

Trying to prove their eldest brother had been wrong to choose Julian.

Elias smiled.

He picked up his wrist terminal and sent a pitiful message to his deareldest brother, saying that he should never have stolen Julian’s place.

Tsk.

He almost forgot.

He had already been blocked.

He had wanted to disgust Adrian a little.

Pity.

Just as Elias felt regret, an encrypted message popped up, and his smile disappeared for a brief second.

The sender was labeled Mom.

But this Momwas not that fool Vivian.

Star, Mommy is so happy, because Mommy will get to see you on the capital world very soon-

While Helen and Elias ate lunch in apparent peace, both of them full of hidden thoughts, a new decision came from the senior command of the Second and Third Legions.

Soon, that decision spread across the capital world’s upper circles.

The Second and Third Legions plan to downgrade the current Moonfall Sanatorium into a branch and move the main campus to the Spirit Abyss System?

When Helen received the news, he froze.

The decision sounded absurd.

Then his father, Orlan Rockefeller, sighed from across from him.

Apparently, it was that Beta gentleman’s idea. He wants to live with Orion in the Spirit Abyss System. Since Moonfall is, in practical terms, Orion’s command center, it naturally has to move with him.

Helen: ?

Helen thought Orion had lost his mind.

Not only Helen.

Helen’s father, Finance Minister Orlan, thought the same.

Moonfall had taken up such a large area on the capital world, built such a complete treatment system, and gained the ability to receive Alpha wounded from every kind of major war.

That was not something built in a day or two.

How much time had the Ashford family spent on it?

Ten years?

Twenty?

No.

A full thirty years.

And that was only the medical side.

As Orlan had said, Moonfall looked like the Ashford family’s sanatorium on the surface, but in reality, it was Orion’s command center and the Ashford family’s base on the capital world.

Every time the Second and Third Legions rotated back, or whenever the marshal returned with the old generals, they would live at Moonfall for long periods.

Any Alpha who had gone to war carried plenty of injuries in the psychic sea.

And because the Ashford generals recovered at Moonfall, this place naturally became a command center.

Add to that its location on the capital world, plus its complete internal facilities, and Moonfall was popular among political and business circles too.

That, in turn, gave the Ashford family more resources.

And now what was Orion doing?

Had he gone insane?

Had he suddenly grown a romance brain?

For that Beta, he wanted to move even Moonfall, his old nest?

Orlan’s face hurt a little.

He did not want to admit it.

This sudden decision had to be traced back to a few days earlier.

Good. The treatment speed has indeed gone up. Since that is the case, let us finish in one push without interruption and try to end this work within half a month.

Marshal Atlas knew the border was unstable. Their group could not stay at Moonfall for too long.

So Orion quickly issued an order.

The Second Legion would take the initiative and send starships directly to bring over veterans trapped in illusions.

Once that decision was made, the number of illusiontrapped veterans inside Moonfall exploded.

Beds in the wards were often emptied, only to be filled again immediately with new patients/

Everyone worked like that for more than ten days before they finally saw the end of this slap convention.

And the moment the slap convention ended, Atlas and the old generals had no time to rest. They boarded/ the starships heading back.

They had no time.

Naturally, Orion had even less.

So many veterans had returned. Their reintegration, ranks, assignments, and postings were all problems.

Then there was the balance of interests between old and new officers.

Which returning officers would be given immediate authority?

Which current officers with titles bigger than their ability would be demoted?

In short, everything was a mess, and Orion was so busy he barely touched the ground.

Julian had no particular thoughts about it.

Because while Orion ran around for the legions, Julian’s mecha design drawing was nearing completion.

The drawing was finished.

The materials, however, still had a large gap.

For that, Julian even left Moonfall personally and brought the design to Dr. R, who had been drooling over it for a long time, taking the chance to ask Dr. R to support him with some materials.

What kind of thing is that? That is not a problem. Go on. Pick whatever you want. I need to look at the drawing, so I will not go with you.

Okay.”

So Julian followed Wowmeow into Dr. R’s material vault/

Dr. R stayed behind with the design drawing and an iced soda.

She stared at it all night.

By the time she finally pulled herself out of a design so exquisite it left her amazed, with several sections even she could not fully understand

She discovered her vault was empty.

Wowmeow! Our house was robbed!

Dr. R screamed.

Unfortunately, Wowmeow only licked its paw and showed no concern for its owner’s grief.
