Chapter 245 The Rut Arrives
Finished
In the end, Dr. R opened the surveillance footage, packed up every shameless thing Julian the Skinflint had done in her vault, and sent it straight to his guardian, Orion.
“Who taught him this? I am asking you, who taught him? I had such a good apprentice, and you, Orion the Skinflint, ruined him! Thank goodness I have more than one vault!”
Orion: “…”
His Julian had truly worked hard for his mecha.
“Trash. This is trash too. If I had known, I would have taken less.”
Inside the Moonfall suite, Julian was deeply dissatisfied with the spoils he had robbed from Dr. R.
He stared at the pile of so–called high–grade materials in front of him with open suspicion, then looked toward the wolf cub lying nearby, clearly hoping Ruin would agree.
“Awoo…”
The wolf cub lay on the carpet with the little lotus on its head. Its fluffy ears trembled slightly. After a long while, it gave one soft howl.
It sounded tired.
Even its eyelids had drooped halfway.
At first, Julian did not notice anything wrong.
Then he called Ruin again and received no answer for a long time.
“Ruin?”
Julian looked up in confusion.
The little lotus had already lifted off from the wolf cub’s fluffy head. Healing–type psychic power poured down like a tide, rushing toward the cub on the floor.
But Julian’s healing–type psychic power was extremely pure.
And Ruin was the only spirit form absorbing it.
Even so, Ruin did not improve.
Fine cracks appeared and vanished across the wolf cub’s body. The little lotus became visibly anxious.
When it tried to pull more psychic power from Julian and increase the treatment, Julian finally reached out and pressed it down.
The little lotus: “!”
Julian picked Ruin up, held the wolf cub in his arms, and checked it carefully.

Chapter 245 The Rut Arrives
A moment later, he said, “This is useless. The problem is in Orion’s psychic sea.”
Finished
Almost at the same time Julian reached that conclusion, a military hovercar stopped below the building.
The entire suite building entered lockdown.
The door opened from outside.
Orion stood there, and his expression looked slightly wrong.
But before Orion entered, his pheromones arrived first.
He usually controlled them perfectly.
Today, they were turbulent, urgent, thick enough to drown the room.
“Orion…”
His pheromones swept over Julian like a bitter gale crossing an icefield, wrapping around him in one breath.
The top note was the radiant cold of an aurora over frozen snow.
The middle note burned like stars falling into flame.
The base note carried a faint sweetness.
Julian smelled something like light, intoxicating liquor.
A little sweet.
A little strong.
He inhaled hard.
Mm.
A little hot.
Orion approached slowly.
His black–and–gold uniform was still immaculate. His emerald eyes, always cold by nature, were now fixed on Julian without blinking.
Hot.
Restless.
Filled with madness he was barely holding back.
Each step brought more pressure into the air.
Julian’s breathing grew quicker.

The whole room seemed to tighten.
There was nowhere to hide.
Finally, Orion reached him, wrapped an arm around his waist, and pulled him firmly into his arms.
His low voice carried an almost fragile grievance.
“Julian, my rut is here.”
Orion held him too tightly.
Heavy Alpha pheromones washed over Julian again and again, leaving him half dizzy, almost drunk.
But his mind remained clear enough.
Clear enough to hear Orion’s next sentence, spoken with dark, possessive hunger.
“Julian, I am going to lock you up.”
That was Orion’s truest thought in this moment.
He wanted to do it so badly he was almost insane.
Julian panted softly.
Then he said, “Mm. Then close the door first.”
Orion: “?”
Moonfall treated Orion’s rut as a major emergency.
There was no way around it.

He was the Empire’s only natural 3S–rank Alpha. His pheromone strength was devastating to most Alphas.
Even 2S–rank Alphas like Caleb Hayes and Laurie Rick had to take a detour at a time like this.
After all, their boss had excellent self–control and would not actually beat anyone.
His pheromones, however, did not care about reason.
If they dared pass under his building, the pheromones would crush them without hesitation and make sure they did not sleep that night.
“Lock it down. Lock it down right now. Except for Beta doctors checking on the situation at fixed intervals, every Alpha and Omega had better stay far away unless they want to die.”
Dr. Quill pushed his gold–rimmed glasses higher on his nose.
Calm.
He could say that word a hundred million times.

Chapter 245 The Rut Arrives
“We definitely are not going there to die, but what about Little Master?”
Laurie Rick sounded worried.
“Old Quill, can you think of something? Should we rescue Little Master first?”
The moment he said that, Caleb and the others all stared at him.
Their eyes clearly said:
“Do you want to die?”
“Go alone.”
“Stealing an Omega from an Alpha in rut. Impressive.”
“And you still refuse to admit you are stupid.”
Did Laurie think Helen was the one in there?

“Rescue what?” Dr. Quill tapped the table. “If we actually take Little Julian away, that is when the boss will truly be in danger.”
Behind his lenses, his gaze was rarely this serious.
And while Dr. Quill sank into deep thought…
Orion, who had never spent a rut with an Omega before in his life, had just closed the door under Julian’s instruction.
An Alpha in rut was sensitive.
Fragile.
The fact that he had nearly tried to lock someone up without closing the door first, and had needed his Omega to correct him, now bothered him deeply.
