Outcast Omega Pampered by the Alpha General novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25 Then Start Framing Me

“Are you truly not going to reconsider?”

Harlan Turner narrowed his eyes, and his voice lowered without him noticing.

“If you miss this chance, it will be difficult for you to climb into a higher class later.”

He knew the Whitmore family well enough.

A useless Beta like Julian was not someone they needed.

Unfortunately, in the face of his sincere “advice,” Julian advised him right back.

“The surrender pitch already failed, sir. You should move on to the next step and start framing me.”

Harian actually laughed at that.

But he was more than willing to follow Julian’s script.

“Since Cadet Shaw has put it that way, we may as well grant your wish.”

Harlan clapped lightly.

Immediately, two familiar faces were brought in through the door.

Julian recognized both Betas. They were from Noah’s squad. One was a first-year from Reconnaissance, and the other was a first-year from Mecha Piloting.

“Tell us what the two of you saw that day.”

The two Betas exchanged a glance. One of them spoke at once.

“That day, we didn’t want to run at first. Julian said something huge was coming from behind us and told Noah to take us away first, leaving Captain Holt and the others to hold the line.”

Once the first one started lying, the second one seemed to feel much less guilty.

“I argued with Julian at the time. But our captain and Noah said we wouldn’t be any help if we stayed, so we ran with Julian.”

Harlan nodded, then looked back at Julian.

“Cadet Shaw, do you have anything to say?”

“Yes.”

Julian nodded.

“I remember only telling Noah to get everyone moving. How did two dogs who couldn’t understand human speech end up following us too?”

The two Betas: “…”

Harlan Turner: “…”

Beside the main seat, Cedric Wynn raised an eyebrow. The way he looked at Julian turned strangely intrigued.

As an Omega and an experienced A-rank healer, Cedric was highly respected at the academy. He had met thousands of students.

But this was the first time he had seen anyone as stubborn as Julian.

In truth, Cedric understood why the Seventh Legion was doing this.

The war on the front line had just ended. Two major legions had lost their commanders after the war, and/ the question of new authority and control was still being decided.

Ordinary citizens might not know the Seventh Legion’s background, but insiders like them knew perfectly

well.

This was the army His Majesty had handed to his favorite son, Prince Harold Mulholland. As the prince with the strongest chance of taking the throne, Harold’s future was limitless.

Naturally, he would never allow the Seventh Legion to be stained by scandal and have that stain drag down his own prospects.

So a powerless Beta with no support from his family and a bad reputation at school became the perfect scapegoat to absorb public anger.

As a bonus, the Seventh Legion could also protect Merrick Holt and sell the Holt family a favor.

In short, Prince Harold won. The Seventh Legion won. The Holt family won.

All they needed to sacrifice was one tiny Julian Shaw.

Unfortunately, Julian had a spine, and he clearly had no intention of yielding.

And then there was Cedric’s always overly warmhearted colleague…

Cedric glanced at Anne Moore beside him. Her fingers were clenched tight, and the anger she was holding back was obvious.

He had just been about to comfort her when he saw Anne pause while looking at her wrist terminal.

“Anne…”

“Excuse me, everyone. I’ll be right back.”

Anne rose abruptly. Without waiting for Harlan Turner’s permission, she strode straight out of the conference room, as if something urgent had come up.

But Anne was not a key figure in this meeting, so no one paid much attention to her. Their eyes returned to Julian instead.

“Julian, stop taking shots at us. You were the one who led us away first.”
