Outcast Omega Pampered by the Alpha General novel Chapter 36

Chapter 36 Landon Reed

Noah jumped in at once.

“Bullshit! He shoved me. Julian barely tapped him. How strong could a bunch of useless Class F Betas be? Stop making things up.”

“Exactly. Only little kids run to the teacher after losing a fight. Ernbarrassing.”

They were eighteen or nineteen, the perfect age for a temper.

Once Class A heard themselves being compared to elementary schoolers, no one brought up the teacher again.

Then another Beta finally stepped out from behind Nolan’s group.

He had been watching the show for a while.

Gold-rimmed glasses.

Tall, slim build.

Refined manner.

The black-and-gold uniform looked especially elegant on him. Even when he faced Julian directly, his smile stayed perfectly measured.

“Julian. Long time no see. I didn’t expect you to almost become one of us.”

Julian considered searching his divine soul for a memory.

Then he remembered that kicking someone had used too much energy. He was dizzy.

Forget it.

So the refined Beta watched Julian stare at him for a long time.

Then Julian said, “Dude, who are you?”

The refined Beta fell silent.

The air stopped.

No.

It died.

Class A stared.

Class F stared.

No one knew whether Julian was acting too well or whether he genuinely cared so little that he could ask

that question without the slightest awkwardtress.

“You forgot him too?”

Noah whispered by Julian’s car.

“Yeah.”

Julian nodded, completely matter-of-fact.

The refined Beta fell silent again.

Great.

One stab had not been enough. Julian had to twist it.

But Julian’s attitude had truly managed to piss him off.

He extended a hand before anyone could introduce him.

“Landon Reed. First-year Class A, Mecha Engineering Department.”

He thought Julian would remember now.

Julian still looked confused.

His eyes seemed to ask whether Landon had some kind of problem.

Another awkward silence fell.

Then Leo, whose brain was not always quick, finally said, “Julian, did you forget? He’s the Beta who took your spot on the chief squad and got you kicked out by that guy.”

Now Julian understood.

He remembered for real this time.

Caelan Rookwood was the chief student of the third-year Mecha Piloting Department/so called the chief squad.

The original owner had managed to squeeze into that squad at first. Then Caelan removed him and replaced him with Landon Reed.

When the original owner melted down on the academy forum, he had mentioned Landon too.

Fine.

Old grudge

While Julian’s memory was still loading, Landon unconsciously straightened.

As Class A’s top first-year, he was considered the best student in their grade.

Finishes

If each major did not choose its official chief only at the end of the semester, Landon might already have owned that title.

So the spot on the chief squad should have been his from the beginning.

Julian, who never knew his place, had tried to steal it and had nearly succeeded through connections.

Ridiculous.

A few Class A students thought Julian’s silence meant he was ashamed, and they began to snicker.

Then Julian said, “Good. I didn’t want to go anyway. Nice of him to go for me.”

He meant it.

Landon’s face darkened.

“What is that supposed to mean? That I picked up something you threw away?”

Julian fell silent.

Honestly, Class A was getting annoying.

So he stopped being polite.

“Yeah. If that’s how you want to take it, what can I do?”

Landon did not just turn red.

He nearly blew up.

Then the bell rang.

Everyone had to return to their seats.

This was the first practical class with their course professor. Energy Block Manufacturing was a required course in Mecha Engineering, and no one wanted to offend a mècha master.

C

Even at the Imperial Military Academy, few students could build their own mecha by graduation.

Most specialized in repairs, energy block production, and parts manufacturing.

That was why energy blocks made up such a large part of their grade. A good energy block could make a mecha outperform others of the same class.

Landon and his group returned to the Class A section.

Julian was surrounded by Noah and the rest as they sat down.

The tiered classroom had six sections, Class A sat in the front center, closest to the podium. Class F was in the back left.

As soon as everyone sat, several young masters and young ladies from Class A turned back and gave

Julian’s group mocking looks.

They might not beat Class Fin an argument.

But in their actual major?

They were crushing them,

The other four classes had not fully figured out what had happened and were whispering among themselves.
