Outcast Omega Pampered by the Alpha General novel Chapter 45

Chapter 45 Nothing Left to Take

Of course.

Helen understood the situation almost at once.

Elias was not simply being friendly. The young Omega was scared.

Scared Julian would return to the Whitmore family.

Scared Julian would take back what Elias had been enjoying for years.

Scared, most of all, that Julian might keep clinging to Caelan and make things ugly.

Helen did not think much of Elias’s little scheme. Still, he understood why Elias was anxious.

Besides, Elias’s talent alone put him far above Julian.

Even if the Whitmores accepted Julian again one day, the Rockefellers would never value Julian over Elias.

So Helen decided to play along.

“Hello, Julian.” His smile was soft enough to look flawless. “I’m Helen, Caelan’s cousin.”

Then, as if by accident, he drew Caelan into the conversation.

“Eli told me Caelan helped you once.

two must have been fairly close before.”

Caelan’s answer came cold and fast.

“I’m not close to him. I

as.”

The crowd went quiet for half a beat.

Then the snickering started.

Julian Shaw chasing Caelan Rookwood had long since become an academy joke. Now Cacian had cut him off in public, right in front of Helen Rockefeller, while Elias stood at Helen’s side as if he belonged there.

Everyone understood the picture they wanted to see.

Julian had lost.

Lost status, lost family, lost the man he supposedly liked, lost every shred of face.

Noah and the others looked guilty at once.

They had dragged Julian over.

Now people would think Julian had come here on purpose to get close to Caelan’s family.

Julian alone seemed unaffected.

He considered Caclan’s words seriously, then nodded.

“Correct.”

Caelan’s expression tightened.

That sounded too sincere to be sincere.

Before he could say anything. Tristan Whitmore lost patience first.

“Julian, when are you going to stop hounding Caelan? You may not care if you embarrass yourself, but the Whitmores still have a reputation.”

Julian looked at him.

Then he nodded again.

Good.

So being polite had failed.

He faced Tristan directly and spoke loudly enough for everyone nearby to hear.

“How many times does the Whitmore family need to hear this? Pretend I’m dead. Dead. Dead. Are your ears broken, or is it your brain? If nobody can fix it, remove the whole head. It’s not doing useful work anyway.”

Tristan said, “?”

Caelan said, “!”

The surrounding students went dead silent.

“Julian, you-”

Tristan was so furious that the rest of his sentence died in his throat.

Julian had called him brainless.

In public.

But he was an S-class Alpha, the second son of the Whitmore family. Helen Rockefeller was standing right there. So were half the academy’s students.

Was he supposed to hit a useless Beta in front of all of them?

Julian did not care what Tristan chose to do.

He turned to Caelan, raised his right hand, and swore with complete seriousness.

“I, Julian Shaw, swear to heaven. If I ever chase Caelan Rookwood again, let lightning strike me dead. If I ever fall for him again, let my bloodline end with me.”

Ehas’s face changed.

Julian glanced at him.

“That last part only concerns me. Nobody else here needs to panic”

Caelan fell silent.

Julian had sworn so viciously that there was nothing left for him to say.

After a long stare, Caelan’s voice dropped even colder.

“Then remember what you said.”

“Gladly.”

Julian waved him off, clearly done with him.

Then he finally looked at Elias, who stood beside Helen.

Elias sensed danger and immediately shrank a little behind Helen.

Helen was about to pat him in comfort when Julian spoke first.

“A family that can throw away its own blood is something only you would guard like a treasure. Keep them. I’m not competing with you.”

Elias clenched his fingers.

His eyes reddened with perfect timing.

Helen’s smile faded slightly.

To him, Julian had gone too far. Julian had insulted the Whitmores, humiliated Caelan, and now spoken to Elias like that, giving no face to any of the great families present.

So Helen finally stepped in.

“Julian, burning every bridge is rarely wise. One day, you may need a way back.”

Julian looked at him.
