Outcast Omega Pampered by the Alpha General novel Chapter 46

Chapter 46 The Patient in the Car

Julian could feel those Jooks.

He did not care.

He watched Helen for another second, then lost interest entirely,

Helen patted Elias’s hand where it rested on his arm, then turned to Caelan.

“I’m out of time. I have a patient waiting in the car, so I won’t be staying for lunch with you kids.”

He boarded the hovercar before Elias could even finish saying goodbye.

If someone else had done that, people might have found it rude.

But this was Helen Rockefeller.

The empire’s only S-class psychic healer lived by a schedule packed from dawn to night. A patient waiting in his car sounded completely normal.

Anyone making a fuss about it would only seem ignorant.

Plenty of people immediately started justifying it for him.

Julian did not need them to explain anything.

His spiritual sense had already spread toward the hovercar in silence.

A faint sneer touched his mouth.

Interesting.

So in this world, psychic healers treated patients by sitting in their arms?

His wrist terminal lit up before he could think further.

Sect Leader Ashford: “How are you feeling today?”

Sect Leader Ashford: “Little black cat peeking out.jpg”

Julian stared at the message for a few seconds.

Julian: “Bad.”

Sect Leader Ashford: “Pheromones again?”

Julian: “No.”

Julian: “Little black cat wilted.jpg”

The other side went quiet.

Julian did not know whether Orion had failed to understand, or whether something else had happened.

The crowd scattered before another message finally appeared.

Sect Leader Ashford: “How did you find out?”

Julian felt they were both members of the same sect now. There was no need to hide it.

Julian: “He was cuddling another Alpha in the car.”

Sect Leader Ashford: “What if that Alpha was his fiancé?”

Julian: “Can a dead man cuddle people?”

Sect Leader Ashford: “…”

Julian did not dwell on the conversation.

Inside the hovercar, Helen leaned against the handsome Alpha beside him, his expression dark.

“Still angry because of that Beta?”

The Alpha’s arm circled Helen’s waist, possessive and familiar. He leaned toward Helen’s lips.

Helen lifted a hand and blocked him.

“I told you to wait at the estate. A random Beta noticing means nothing, but if Orion’s people hear anything-”

The Alpha caught Helen’s wrist and moved it aside.

Then he kissed him.

Helen resisted at first.

The sweet scent of narcissus mixed with the heavy warmth of sunset-rum pheromones. His resistance soon softened.

By the time the Alpha left a bite mark on the pale skin of his neck, Helen’s breathing had already changed.

“What are you afraid of?” Prince Harold Mulholland’s violet eyes narrowed. His voice stayed low and coaxing. “Without Orion, those soldiers are nothing but stubborn dogs without a leash. As Orion’s widow you can make them lower their heads. You can make them help you.”

His hand tightened on Helen’s waist.

“When Orion’s old forces become ours, you’ll be the next empress. You know that.”

Helen’s eyes lowered.

Fine.” Harold brushed his thumb beside Helen’s eye. “I shouldn’t have followed you today. Next time, I’ll listen. Happy?”

He lifted Helen’s chin and kissed him again.

They were just about to sink back into each other when both of their wrist terminals lit up.

Not a text.

Encrypted calls.

They answered separately.

A few minutes later, both of them looked grim.

At the same time, in the Beta dorms at the Imperial Military Academy, Julian carefully sprayed his sheets and pillow with his “Alpha cologne” again.

The familiar pheromone scent finally entered his nose.
