Chapter 192: Chapter 192 Zades Woman

THIRD PERSON’S POV

Sophia sat alone on a quiet bench in the park. Her body was still and her thoughts were anything but calm.

It was night already. Everything that had happened earlier replayed in her mind over and over again, and no matter how much she tried to push it away, it stayed.

The image of Ashley being taken away wouldn’t leave her. she remembered the way Damien had pushed her aside, the pain when she fell, the look in his eyes when he chose to walk away instead of staying it all felt- too real, too heavy.

But what hurt even more was Ashley. The child she had tried so hard to care for had gone with Tiffany so easily, without looking back even once. That thought caused an ache in her chest. She felt the ache so badly that it was hard to breathe.

She leaned forward slightly, resting her elbows on her knees as she covered her face with her hands. For a moment, she allowed herself to feel everything she had been holding back - the anger, the hurt, the helplessness. All the emotions came at once.

Her shoulders shook slightly, though no sound came out. She didn’t want to cry out loud. She didn’t want anyone to see her like this.

“You look miserable.” A voice said.

The voice came suddenly. Sophia stiffened immediately. Her hands dropped as she turned her head.

To her surprise, Peter was there. He stood a few steps away from her. There was a smirk on his face, the kind that made her uncomfortable the moment she saw it.

“What are you doing here?” Sophia asked.

Peter shrugged casually, slipping his hands into his pockets as he walked closer.

“It’s a public park,” he said lightly. “I can be wherever I want.”

His eyes moved over her slowly, in a way that made her skin crawl. “But I didn’t expect to find you here, looking like you’ve just lost everything.”

Sophia stood up immediately, putting some distance between them. “Stay away from me,” she said firmly.

Peter chuckled. He was clearly amused by her reaction.

“Still acting proud, huh?” he said, tilting his head “Even when you look like this.”

“I’m not in the mood for your nonsense,” Sophia snapped.

She turned to leave but before she could take more than a step, Peter reached out and grabbed her wrist.

The sudden contact made her freeze for a split second before she reacted.

“Let go of me!” she snapped, trying to pull her hand free.

But his grip tightened.

“Why are you always so cold?” Peter asked. His voice was lower now. His tone shifted into something more dangerous. He stepped closer, closing the gap between them. “I’ve been interested in you for a long time, you know that?”

Sophia’s heart started pounding, but she refused to show fear.

“I said let go,” she repeated.

Peter ignored her. His eyes got darker as he leaned closer.

“You’re wasting yourself,” he said. His voice was filled with something that made her stomach turn. “Why stick with people who don’t appreciate you when you could be with someone who does?”

“I don’t need someone like you,” Sophia shot back, trying again to pull away.

But he didn’t let go. Instead, he tightened his grip and pulled her closer.

“You shouldn’t reject me so easily,” he said. His tone turned colder. “You might regret it.”

Sophia struggled harder now. She used her free hand to push against his chest.

“Let go of me!” she shouted. Her voice broke through the quiet of the park.

But Peter was stronger. He didn’t budge at all. She started to panic. She tried to twist her wrist free, but his hold was strong. The more she resisted, the tighter his grip became.

“Stop struggling,” he said. “You’re just making it worse for yourself.”

Sophia’s breathing became uneven as she felt frustrated. She refused to give in, but she couldn’t break free either.

And then-

A sound cut through the air.

Peter’s grip suddenly loosened.

Before Sophia could understand what happened, Peter staggered back. He had a look of shock on his face. He stumbled slightly, clearly thrown off balance.

“Don’t touch her.” a voice said.

The voice was calm, but it carried a dangerous edge.

Sophia turned quickly. Her heart still raced

Ken stood there. His expression was cold and there was a clear anger in his eyes. His posture was relaxed, but anger radiated off him.

Peter straightened. “What the hell-” he started, but he didn’t finish.

Ken stepped forward. His movements were quick. Before Peter could react, Ken grabbed him by the collar and punched him hard. The impact was enough to send Peter stumbling again. This time he was unable to keep his balance.

“Stay away from her,” Ken said.

Peter looked up at him with both anger and disbelief.

“Do you know who you’re messing with?” he snapped.

Ken didn’t even hesitate. He took another step forward

“I know exactly who you are,” he said. “And I’m telling you this once.”
