It was Miss Grace
Apollo
The moment the doors opened, my eyes landed on Chase’s hand.
He was still holding Grace’s, his chest heaving like he had just run a marathon. He sighed in relief, and he even had the audacity to smile, as if he was proud of dragging her in here just in time, before the meeting could begin.
His brows furrowed, his fingers twitching. “Hmm? Why do I feel like someone is glaring at me?” he muttered under his breath, scratching the back of his head. He looked around the room, until his gaze found mine.
His eyes widened, and he dropped Grace’s hand instantly, as though holding it a second longer would cost him his life.
Smart man.
That was why I still kept him, despite everything, he knew when to act, when to step back, and when to stop before he crossed a line he couldn’t return from.
Grace blinked at him, confused, before her eyes turned to me. And the moment her gaze met mine, the room ceased to exist.
I leaned back against my seat, keeping my face unreadable, but my eyes roamed over her, pinning her exactly where she stood.
A while
ago, I wouldn’t have recognized myself. Going to the cafeteria at all was out of character. But buying that toy, sliding it inside her, and turning it on while she sat there surrounded by dozens of employees was reckless, and indulgent. A complete waste of time by my usual standards. I wouldn’t go out of my way just to watch someone squirm.
But I did.
And damn it, I wouldn’t deny it was worth it. It was worth every second of watching her struggle to keep her composure, worth knowing that beneath the mask she wore, her body belonged to me in that moment. That satisfaction wasn’t something I could easily put into words. But I stopped myself.
I still didn’t know why.
I could have dragged it out. I could have made her break. I could have watched her slip, let her gasp, let her beg with her eyes for me to turn it off. It would have been so easy. But then I saw the way she was shrinking in on herself, clawing desperately to

hold it together in front of hundreds of employees. And for some reason, that’s where I stopped.
One of the directors cleared her throat in irritation. “So, are you just going to stand there all day? Or do you want us to wait for you to even take a seat?”
Grace’s eyes tore away from mine, like she was pulling herself out of a trap. She turned to the woman who had spoken, shaking her head quickly. “O–of course not. I apologize for coming late.”
She glanced at Chase, who gave her a small wave to follow. They both slipped into the corner seats behind the directors, tucked out of the center but still visible. She sat down, nervous as hell, her posture stiff.
Her eyes flicked to mine again before darting away. It was pointless, because I didn’t care what anyone assumed. I let my gaze rest on her, shameless.
I was imagining her as she had been in the cafeteria. The toy buried inside her, humming against her walls. Her thighs pressed together, face flushed, trying to hide what only I knew. I imagined her in that very seat, naked, her body trembling, the toy dripping wet with her arousal as it ruined her in front of them all.
I could feel the weight of the directors‘ stares shifting between her and me, wondering why their boss was staring at a newbie.
“Huh? Why is he looking at her like that?” one director murmured. “It’s strange. Do you think there’s something going on between them? I heard a rumor that the newbie is close to the boss.”
Another scoffed quietly. “That’s impossible Have you seen how she looks? If she was hot, it’d make sense. But I doubt there’s anything. Still, it is strange.”
Behind me, Austin coughed deliberately, drawing the room’s attention back. He stepped forward, his smile polite as he bowed. “Good morning. Since we’re all here, I’ll start the meeting.”
Finally, I tore my gaze from Grace and looked at him.
The directors nodded, grateful for the distraction, and Austin picked up the remote on the table. The screen on the wall flickered on, revealing the picture of a man.
“As you all know, this is the celebrity, Wren Austin began. “He was the face of our major brand when he was still alive. But because of the incident where he
supposedly hit a child, and the recording released to the public claiming our company will cover for him, we lost billions,

“After a thorough investigation, however, we discovered the truth. It was a scam orchestrated by the girl’s parents, and Wren himself.”
One of the directors scoffed, slapping his palm lightly on the table. “How dare they try to scam us. Do they really think the CEO is just anybody anyone can scam?”
He smiled at me, smug, his tone dripping with flattery. “Thank god you realized the scheme, sir. Otherwise it would’ve become a much bigger problem.”
I turned my head slowly and looked at him with the cold indifference reserved for trash that wasn’t worth my time.
“I think you’re mistaken about something.‘
The man blinked, color draining from his face. “W–what?”
Austin stepped in. He smiled, then lifted his hand to gesture. “It wasn’t Mr. Apollo who solved the problem. Rather, it was Miss Grace, the intern in the PR department.”
He pointed toward the corner of the room, where Chase and Grace sat.
Grace’s eyes widened, her whole body stiffening as every single head turned toward her. I watched her freeze under their attention.
