Please Me Daddy (Gracie) novel Chapter 34

**Across Distant Skies Lies Hope Waiting To Be Found by Kade Rowan Flint**

**Get Another Dick in Your System**

Grace

Heat surged through my cheeks, a vivid crimson that felt almost embarrassing.

Eleanor’s grin widened, an unmistakable glimmer of mischief dancing in her eyes. “Oh, look at you! You’re practically glowing! Something must’ve happened, hasn’t it? I can tell you’ve been all twitchy and nervous today!”

I swatted her hand away, my own instinctively rising to cover my cheeks, which felt like they were on fire.

“W-What are you talking about?” I stammered, desperately trying to maintain my composure, feeling like a caught criminal. “Nothing happened. My face is always like this. You know that. Stop being so dramatic.”

Her expression was a mix of mockery and delight. “Yes, your face does tend to flush. But it’s usually for a reason. For instance—oh, I don’t know—when something exciting happens between you and that stunning man of yours.”

“I don’t have a man,” I muttered, trying to dismiss the thought.

“Sure, but something definitely went down between you and your boss,” she shot back, her tone teasing yet insistent.

“I’m serious! Nothing happened. We didn’t even have sex!”

Wyatt, who had been quietly sipping his juice, suddenly looked up, his eyes blinking in surprise. “So… you did something else?”

I felt my soul leave my body for a brief moment.

Turning to face both of them, I was met with identical expressions of shock, their eyes wide and mouths slightly agape.

“Fucking hell!” Eleanor exclaimed, nearly spilling her water in her excitement. “I was just joking! So you actually did something with your boss… again?!”

“Wh-What do you mean again?!” I sputtered, my voice rising in panic. “The last time was an accident! I was drunk, and I barely remembered half of it until the next day!”

“But it happened,” she countered smugly, poking a finger at me. “And now, you have to spill all the details. What went down this morning between you and Sir Cold and Sexy?”

“I—”

“Don’t even think about skipping any details,” Eleanor interrupted, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. “Start. From. The. Beginning.”

I glanced between them, both leaning in closer, Wyatt resting his chin on his hand, clearly intrigued.

With a resigned sigh, I realized there was no one else I could confide in.

“Alright,” I relented, my voice barely above a whisper. “Long story short, I walked into his office… and things escalated quickly. One thing led to another, and he went down on me.”

An overwhelming silence enveloped us. Even the soft hum of the refrigerator seemed to judge me.

Eleanor leaned forward, gripping my hands tightly. “Grace.”

“Yes?”

“I’m so proud of you.”

“What?!”

She nodded earnestly, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “You’re finally breaking out of that anxious shell of yours! I didn’t think your first big step would be seducing your boss, but I have to admit, getting him to go down on you? That’s iconic.”

I groaned, tugging at my hair in frustration. “Eleanor, you’re missing the point. He didn’t do it because I seduced him; he did it because he wanted to. If anything, he was the one who seduced me. And I regretted it the moment it was over.”

“He seduced you?” Eleanor practically shrieked, her glass nearly slipping from her grasp. “While you were in that disguise? Grace, even though you’re still gorgeous, this man has some strange taste.”

“You’re misunderstanding. He knew it was me the entire time. He recognized me as the girl from that night, even with the wig and glasses.”

Wyatt’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Seriously?”

I let out a humorless laugh. “Yeah. He let me think I was playing a game. He was watching me, pretending not to know, just so he could observe me like I was some kind of amusing specimen on display.”

Eleanor laughed, clearly impressed. “Wow, I like him.”

I shot her a glare, and she raised her hands in mock surrender. “Okay, okay. But what’s going on now? Were you… fired?”

I didn’t want to admit it. I really didn’t. But the truth was already there, evident in the warmth of my cheeks, the quickening of my heart, and the way my thighs instinctively pressed together at the thought.

Yes. I had enjoyed it far too much.

He was incredibly skilled. I had never imagined I could feel that way. And if that was just a glimpse, what would it be like if we went all the way?

I shook my head firmly, trying to dispel the thoughts. “I can’t.”

Eleanor blinked at me in disbelief. “Why not?!”

“He’s my boss. This isn’t some harmless office fling or a fantasy from a book. This is real life. If anyone finds out, my career could be ruined. His reputation might survive, but mine? I’m just the intern, the woman. The one people will say seduced him to climb the corporate ladder. But God, it’s so difficult, Eleanor. Because I am attracted to him. I can’t stop thinking about what it would be like if we had sex, and I hate that I can’t stop.”

They exchanged glances, the weight of my confession hanging in the air. After a moment of silence, Eleanor stood up abruptly and clapped her hands together. “Alright. Let’s do it!”

“Do what?” I asked, bewildered.

“Let’s go to a club.”

“What?!” Wyatt and I chorused, disbelief written all over our faces.

Eleanor’s grin was mischievous. “We’re taking you out. You don’t want to sleep with your boss? Fine. Then find someone else. Dance, drink, flirt, hell, even hook up if you want. Anything to get your boss out of your system before the three days are up.”

I stared at her, speechless, her words echoing in my mind.

Sleep with another man to avoid sleeping with Apollo?

“Look,” Eleanor said, her tone shifting to something more serious. “You’ve got this fire inside you right now, Grace. That tension is going to consume you. If you can’t stop thinking about him, maybe the only way to handle it is to get another dick in your system.”

I glanced down at my hands, tightly curled in my lap. Was that really what I needed? A distraction? A reset?

Maybe she was right. Perhaps if I slept with someone else, I wouldn’t end up making a reckless decision and find myself in Apollo Reed’s bed.

“Okay,” I finally said, a mix of uncertainty and excitement coursing through me. “Let’s go to the club.”
