Please Me Daddy (Gracie) novel Chapter 55

**Across Distant Skies Lies Hope Waiting To Be Found by Kade Rowan Flint 55**

The rain pattered softly against the windows, creating a soothing backdrop to the otherwise silent study. I sat at the large oak desk, flipping through the pages of the report, my eyes darting over the lines, but not really absorbing any of the information. The room was dimly lit, casting shadows that danced across the walls, and I felt the weight of the day pressing down on me. My tie was carelessly tossed onto the couch, and the top two buttons of my shirt were undone, a small concession to the fatigue that enveloped me. My sleeves were rolled up, exposing my forearms, which rested heavily on the table.

With a frustrated sigh, I ran my fingers through my tousled hair, the strands falling haphazardly over my forehead.

Just then, the phone on my desk buzzed, breaking the stillness.

“Genesis,” I muttered, recognizing her number instantly.

I pressed the speaker icon, my gaze still fixated on the folder in front of me, unwilling to give her my full attention just yet.

“Hi, boss!” Her voice was almost annoyingly cheerful, especially at this hour. “How are you this evening?”

I arched an eyebrow, my tone flat as I replied, “What do you need?”

She let out a short laugh, the kind that suggested she found my demeanor amusing. “Let me guess. You’re working late again, even from home. It’s almost midnight, you know. The world isn’t going to end if you leave that mountain of paperwork for tomorrow.”

“If you don’t have anything important to say, I’m hanging up,” I warned, my patience already wearing thin.

“Ah, you and your threats,” she grumbled, but there was a hint of mischief in her voice. “Anyway, something interesting happened at the office tonight.”

I remained silent, knowing it was likely just another one of her tangents.

“I was working late,” she continued, “and I stumbled upon something quite intriguing.”

“What is it?” I asked, flipping to the next page, feigning disinterest.

“It’s a surprise,” she teased, and I could almost hear the grin in her voice.

“Then I’ll just find out tomorrow,” I replied coolly, ready to end the conversation.

“No, no, there’s no need for that,” she rushed to say. “Someone’s coming to you tonight instead. I gave her your address and my spare key.”

My heart skipped a beat. I lifted my eyes from the report, feeling a sudden surge of curiosity.

“You have a spare key?” I asked, one eyebrow raised in disbelief.

“Of course, I do!” she replied, her tone unapologetic. “If anything were to happen to you, no one would know because you’re such a recluse. I got one for safety measures. You’re welcome.”

Before I could respond, she was already changing the subject.

“Anyway, have a good time, Apollo. I really hope she’ll be the one to change you.”

And just like that, she hung up. I stared at the screen for a moment, my mind racing.

What did she mean by that? Genesis had a knack for rambling, and half of what she said was sheer nonsense. I had long since given up trying to decipher her cryptic messages.

I glanced at the clock on the wall.

11:55 PM. Midnight was just around the corner.

With a resigned sigh, I let the report slip from my fingers, drumming my knuckles lightly against the desk. Just a few more minutes, and the third night would pass.

She didn’t utter a word; she simply remained there, water cascading from her clothes onto my floor. The fabric of her hoodie clung to her body, outlining her figure in a way that was both alluring and distressing. I could see the pale outline of her bra beneath the soaked material, and the white fabric of her underwear was nearly translucent. Strands of wet hair clung to her face, and a small cut glimmered on her forehead, a testament to the elements she had braved to reach me.

She trembled, and I couldn’t tell if it was from the cold or something deeper.

I set the folder aside, leaned back in my chair, and crossed my arms over my chest, trying to mask the tumult of emotions swirling within me.

So this was Genesis’s idea of a surprise.

My voice emerged, low and unreadable. “What brings you here, Miss Grace?”

Her gaze locked onto mine, and for a fleeting moment, the world around us fell away. Then, she looked down, only to glance back at me again. Her eyes flickered to the wall clock, then returned to meet mine.

“It’s 11:59,” she stated, her voice steady despite the chaos of the moment.

I tilted my head slightly, unimpressed. “Your point?”

“The deal still stands, Mr. Apollo.” With that, she slowly reached for the hem of her hoodie and pulled it over her head, water splattering onto the floor as the soaked fabric came off. I found myself captivated by her every movement.

She let the hoodie drop to the ground, followed by her shirt, leaving her bra clinging to her body, barely concealing anything at all.

Then, her fingers moved to the button of her jeans.

She didn’t shy away from my gaze as she popped the button open, sliding the fabric down her hips until it pooled around her ankles. Now, she stood before me, clad only in her underwear, a vision of vulnerability and strength.

“I accept your proposal,” she declared, her voice unwavering. “Please, make love to me, sir.”
