Chapter 219
As Victoria walked up to the gazebo, she realized the noise was coming from Faye
Faye was tightly bound hand and foot, her mouth stuffed with a blackened, foul–smelling rag
She kept struggling, but not a single clear sound escaped her lips
Besides Faye, Cassian was there too
But Cassian wasn’t tied up. He bowed his head before jackson in his wheelchair, trembling, He could barely stand steady. having clearly held this bowed, hunched position for a very long time
Hearing footsteps, Jackson turned his wheelchair to look over and smiled warmly
“Vickie, you’re here,” he said
Victoria walked over with her medical kit and settled onto the stone bench, which had already been padded for comfort. She grinned, “Xavier has sent Cassian back home, so why haven’t you released Faye yet?

Victoria could tell he was holding himself back, fighting to keep his emotion under control as he learned for the own brothers fate
Victoria lowered her gaze, understanding exactly how Jackson felt right now.
It was just like when she’d always hoped to find her parents, only to discover they didn’t love her as much as she’d magnet
That kind of disappointment was truly crushing
And Jackson was going through the same thing
He’d spent years trying to bring his real brother home, only to discover the person he brought back was just his fathers illegitimate son
And his real brother had been sold off by his father.
He’d even nearly lost his life because of his father’s illegitimate son and daughter.
“You still dare to dream I’ll spare you?” Jackson spat, then kicked the pleading man away with ruthless force.
Victoria froze, shocked.
Driven by pure rage, Jackson actually used his legs.
He gripped the wheelchair’s armrest, trying to stand, but the pain in his calves and knees finally forced him to stop. He took a deep breath, struggling to keep his emotions in check, and dialed Ollie’s number.
“Bring Donald here from the hospital,” Jackson ordered.
After giving the order, Jackson hung up and turned to Victoria, his gaze soft as he managed a gentle smile. “Vickie, you should head back to the office. I’ll handle the rest myself. You don’t need to worry about me.”
Victoria looked at him with absolute seriousness. “I have to be here. You’re my fiancé. How can I not be worried? Whatever you want to do, I’ll be with you every step of the way.”
Hearing Victoria’s straightforward words, Jackson’s lips quivered, and after a long pause, he smiled again. This time, it wasn’t forced. It was genuine, straight from the heart.
“Alright, then stay with me, Vickie. I really do like having you by my side,” Jackson said.

Olhe had originally planned to drop Faye off at her place, but after getting Jackson’s call, he just drove her straight to the hospital where Donald was staying instead.
As soon as the car pulled up at the hospital entrance and the automatic doors slid open, Ollie cut the ropes binding Faye and, with zero hesitation, booted her right out of the car.
“Ah!” Faye had just gotten her hands and feet free, but the sudden kick caught her totally off guard. She lost her footing and went sprawling on the pavement.
Everyone outside the hospital stopped and stared.
Faye felt utterly humiliated. Ignoring the sting from her scraped knees and palms, she scrambled up, yanked the rag out of her mouth, and chucked it at Ollie’s face as he got out of the car behind her.
But she missed.
Ollie just tilted his head, dodging the rag covered in spit, and gave her a cold glare. “What, you want me to slap you again?”
Faye gritted her teeth. “Ollie, just you wait! I’ll make sure you end up like a drowned rat.”
Ollie didn’t even bother with her threats. He told his bodyguards to pick up the rag, then marched straight into the hospital with them.

In the VIP room at the Central Hospital, Sibley sat by the bed, peeling an apple and complaining, “Dad, did Faye transfer the money yet or not?”
Donald lay there, frowning. “No, and her phone is unreachable.”
Sibley made a face. “What if she’s backing out and doesn’t want to help us anymore?”
Donald was just about to say something when the door to the room swung open.
When Ollie walked in, Donald frowned. “What are you doing here?”
Ollie hadn’t expected to see Sibley in the room as well. ‘Even better. I’ll nab them both,‘ he thought.
He waved his hand and said, “Take them both.”
Sibley froze, then quickly raised the fruit knife, pointing it at the bodyguards and yelling, “What the hell are you doing? It’s broad daylight-”
Before she could finish, one of the bodyguards grabbed her hand and wrenched it sharply.
The knife dropped from her hand, and at the same time, a rag was stuffed into her mouth.
Watching everything go down, Donald was furious. “That bastard Jackson! I haven’t even gotten back at him for landing me in the hospital, and now what the hell is he planning?”
