Chapter 222
Ollie had no intention of wasting words with Donald. He warned coldly, “You’ll find out what Jackson wants oner you come with me. If you don’t want to get hurt again, you’d better not resist.”
“Fine. I’ll go with you!” Donald didn’t struggle. It was because he wasn’t intimidated in the slightest
While he was in the hospital, he finally figured it out. He thought, ‘All of Jackson’s crazy moves lately were just his way of lashing out because he felt unloved.
He was just mad that I always treated Cassian and Sibley way better than him.
‘It was just like his mother back then. Whether she was picking on Rachel or giving me a hard time, it was all to get my attention and affection.
Although Donald truly disliked Jackson’s mother and even Jackson himself, he thought it wouldn’t be so bad to swallow his pride if it meant getting back his old, good life.
An hour later.
“Sir, I’ve brought them here,” Ollie said as he got out of the car, signaling the bodyguards to shove Donald and Sibley outside the gazebo.
While they were waiting for Donald to show up, sleepiness washed over Victoria.
She gently leaned against a pillar of the gazebo, closing her eyes to rest.
A soft breeze brushed through her hair, bringing a hint of chill.
Jackson, worried she might get cold, took the blanket he’d been using to warm his legs and draped it over Victoria.
When she heard Ollie’s voice, Victoria slowly opened her eyes, gave a lazy yawn, and glanced toward the voice.
When she saw what was going on, a smirk played at her lips. “Didn’t expect the illegitimate daughter Sibley to show up, too. Perfect, now we can deal with both her and her dad at once and save ourselves the hassle.”
With that, she stood up and tucked the blanket back over Jackson’s legs. “Go ahead and do your thing, Jack. I’ll sit here and watch, promise I won’t get in your way.”
Jackson replied softly, “Okay.”
Sibley’s eyes widened in shock when she saw Cassian kneeling at Jackson’s feet. She blurted out, “Cassian, why are you kneeling in front of that useless Jackson?”
But before she could finish, Cassian spun around, panic flashing in his eyes. He growled under his breath. “Sibley, if you don’t want to die, shut up right now!”
Sibley felt wronged, but faced with her brother’s fierce glare, she kept quiet.
She glanced around anxiously, realizing they were in the middle of nowhere, completely deserted, not a soul in sight.
An unexplainable fear welled up inside her. ‘Is that damn cripple Jackson really planning to kill us to cover his tracks?” she wondered, her heart racing.

She couldn’t help but shiver at the thought.
Sibley clung to Donald’s sleeve, looking up at him for a bit of reassurance.
“Dad…” she whispered.
Donald gave her hand a gentle pat, his voice warm and comforting. “Don’t be scared. I’m right here. As long as I’m around Jackson won’t lay a finger on you.”
The next moment, he turned to Jackson and snapped, “Jackson, you’ve punished your brother enough to vent your anger. Why did you call me here? What do you want from me now?”
Jackson stayed eerily calm in the face of Donald’s accusation. He spoke in a low, quiet voice, “Are you angry?
Donald’s eyes bulged with rage as he roared, “Shouldn’t I be angry? You rebellious boy, how dare you have your men beat up your own father? That’s outrageous!”
Jackson let out a laugh, but his eyes stayed cold. There was something downright sinister about his smile.
“Donald, I’m the one who should be angry. You fooled me for three years… No, to be exact, it’s been twenty–one years, Jackson said, his voice icy and sharp.
