Just then, a soft knock on the door snapped her out of her thoughts.

Tracy’s voice came from outside. “Ms. Binder, Mr. Baker is here to see you.”

“Come in,” Victoria replied.

The door opened, and Tracy led Frank into the office. He walked straight over to the sofa and sat down.

Tracy made some coffee for them, then quietly left the office, closing the door behind her.

Frank pulled a list from his file bag and set it on the coffee table. Looking at Victoria, he said, “We’ve finished casting for Chasing the Dream. Everything’s here, take a look. If it checks out, we can start preparing to shoot.”

Victoria finally let go of the mouse, stood up slowly, and walked over to the sofa to sit down.

She picked up the list, flipped through a few pages, and said, “Alright. I’ll let you know after I’ve gone through it.”

Frank picked up his cup, took a sip, and set it down. He said slowly, “Victoria, we’ve finally cleared up Brian’s past. But what about Stephen? When are you planning to clear his name? Is he still getting roasted online?”

Victoria set the list down and explained, “I’ve just been swamped lately, so I haven’t had a chance to deal with it yet. Once I’m sure the cast list is good, I’ll have the marketing accounts clear up all those rumors about Stephen right away.”

Frank nodded. “Yeah, that works. It’ll help drum up some buzz for Chasing the Dream before we start filming.”

They chatted for a bit more, then Frank left the office to start getting things ready for the shoot.

As the workday was winding down, Victoria had just finished a call with Frank, confirming that all the main cast’s info was in order. She was about to pack up and head out when Tracy suddenly rushed in, looking flustered.

“Ms. Binder, something’s wrong!” Tracy called out, her face full of anxiety.

Victoria didn’t even look up. “What’s going on? What happened?”

Tracy blurted out, “People online are spreading rumors that you and Stephen are hooking up!”

Victoria nearly choked on her own spit. She rolled her eyes and laughed dryly. “What? They’re saying I’m hooking up with Stephen? Seriously, what kind of crazy rumors are these?”

Tracy looked at Victoria’s reaction and felt a bit awkward. “Yeah, Ms. Binder, I know it’s absurd too, but the internet is going crazy right now. Everyone’s talking about it.”

“I’ve sent you all the evidence to clear Stephen’s name. Let the buzz about me and Stephen build for two days. then on the third night, have the marketing accounts release the clarification when the timing’s right,” she ordered.

“If you hadn’t helped Gary out, people wouldn’t have gotten the wrong idea,” Stephen said.

“It’s just a misunderstanding. It’s not hurting anyone, so don’t stress about it. The casting is done, and I’m planning to ride this buzz to clear your name about those old rumors; beating up the director and bullying classmates, before we start filming,” Victoria said.

“Got it,” Stephen replied.

“But… as for the rumors about us having an affair, I honestly have no clue how to explain it to people online right now,” Victoria said, sighing and sounding genuinely troubled.

Stephen was quiet for a moment, then said, “If this really messes things up for you, I can just reveal my real identity. That should shut down all the speculation.”

Victoria grinned. “Sure.”
