Chapter 465
Chapter 465
When Victoria suggested getting their fortunes read, Jackson was a bit surprised. After all, Vickie didn’t seem like the type to believe in that kind of thing.
He chuckled and said, “Vickie, you’ve got money, a career, and love. What else could you possibly want to know?”
Victoria paused for a moment, then said, “Yeah, you’re right.”
To be honest, she wasn’t really serious about fortune-telling. As far as she was concerned, her life was pretty much perfect Family, love, friendship, and her career were all in a good place.
She didn’t really believe in fortune-telling anyway; she just wanted to try it out on a whim.
But if the reading ended up being bad, it would totally mess up her honeymoon vibe.
‘Never mind,’ Victoria thought to herself.
“Let’s not bother,” Victoria said, and she and Jackson kept walking hand in hand, wandering further into the heart of the old
town.
As they wandered down a street packed with bars, Jackson suddenly asked, “Want to hear a song?”
“Huh?” Victoria blinked, then teased, “Of course! Wait, are you actually going to sing for me?”
She was just messing around, but Jackson grinned and said, “Yeah, I’ll sing for you.”
Victoria stared at him, a bit taken aback. He looked totally serious, not joking at all.
“You? Here? You’re really going to sing for me?” Victoria asked again, still in disbelief.
Jackson nodded, his expression dead serious. “Yeah.”
Victoria hadn’t forgotten how she’d once asked Jackson to sing her to sleep, and he’d serenaded her with “Twinkle, Twinkle. Little Star.”
She gave him an awkward smile. “Honestly, babe, you really don’t have to go out of your way for me.”
Jackson replied, just as seriously, “Singing for you is no trouble at all. Come on, let’s head inside. I’ll sing for you.”
With that, he pulled Victoria along and they walked into a bar next door called “Hangover.”
Victoria saw how into it Jackson was, so she just let him have his way. ‘Who cares how he sings? He’s my husband, though!
Jackson had Ollie go talk to the bar manager, and it didn’t take long before the manager agreed to let Jackson perform on stage for a bit.
Noo way he’d ever say no to that. The manager actually knew Jackson.
A celebrity like Jackson showing up at his little bar, if he streamed it live, the place would be packed tonight.
The manager had a quick word with the regular singer at Hangover, and the singer stepped off the stage.
Then, Jackson glanced at Victoria “Vickie, I’m going up.”

“You got this Victoria said
Jackson smiled and headed for the stage
The moment jackson stepped into view, the crowd let out a collective gasp.
“Damn, that guy is ridiculously hot! What’s his name? Which band is he with?” someone blurted out.
“Wait… why does he look so familiar? I feel like I’ve seen him somewhere before!” another person chimed in.
“Wait, you recognize him? Is he some kind of celebrity?” someone else asked.
“No, no, not a celebrity… Wait, I remember now! Isn’t that the eldest son of the Thornton family from Benwig City, Jackson?” a man said.
“Holy crap! What’s he doing here? If he’s here, then, wait, is that the legendary influencer Victoria?” a young woman shouted.
As soon as the online gossipers recognized Jackson, everyone instantly shifted their gaze to Victoria, who was right there with him.
The moment they realized it was really Victoria, the crowd let out another gasp.
Before the crowd could even start whispering, Jackson was already speaking into the mic.
“Vickie, this one’s for you. ‘Close to You’ by Carpenters,” he said
The crowd instantly got hyped.
“Damn, Jackson Thornton’s actually singing ‘Close to You? Is that really his taste?” someone blurted out.
“Hey, what’s wrong with that? I like Carpenters’ songs too!” another person chimed in.
“I thought he’d go for something trendy, like what the young crowd is into these days,” someone else said.
“I figured Jackson would sing one of Victoria’s original songs,” another person chimed in.
“But none of her originals really fit the mood, most of her stuff is pretty motivational,” someone else pointed out
“Yeah, that’s true!” the other person agreed.
Victoria barely noticed the buzz from the crowd. Her eyes were glued to Jackson up on stage, that impossibly gorgeous face of his stealing all her attention.
No doubt about it, with looks like his, Jackson was always the center of attention wherever he showed up.
Now, she just wondered if his singing would be as mesmerizing as he was, if he could make her heart race with his voice, too.
As the music began to play, Jackson’s voice came through the mic. “Why do birds suddenly appear…”
As soon as Victoria heard the first line, she couldn’t help but giggle.
Seeing how confident Jackson looked, she really thought his singing had improved
Turns out, he was just as consistent as ever.
The audience was totally baffled. “Uh
