Queen Of Revenge And Glory (Victoria and Jackson) novel Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Victoria’s words stunned everyone. A second later, Daisy’s shock turned into pure joy. Victoria, what did you just say?

Victoria repeated herself clearly and steadily, Aunt Daisy, I want you and Uncle Hector to adopt me. Is that okay?

Darell snapped out of it. He didn’t even bother arguing anymore and snapped, Don’t make a scene in front of your grandfather.

Having his own daughter refuse to acknowledge him and ask to call his older brother her father humiliated him.

Hector and Daisy didn’t have children of their own. The Binder family’s assets were supposed to be passed down to his side.

If Victoria really became their adopted daughter, no one could say how Calvin would divide things anymore.

Victoria met his eyes, her voice calm and firm. I’m not making a scene.”

Curtis let out a cold, mocking laugh. In the end, you just can’t give up being part of the Binder family. Asking Uncle Hector and Aunt Daisy to be your parents, huh? I never thought you’d say something this ridiculous.

Victoria sneered, That’s funny. I’m a Binder by blood. Of course, I can’t give up being part of the family. You’re talking about Angelica, right? She’s not even a Binder, but she’s shamelessly staying here.

Angelica felt a flicker of irritation, but underneath it, there was a quiet sense of relief.

For her, this was actually the best outcome. First, it meant she could stay in the Binder family.

Second, as long as Victoria remained a Binder there was still a chance she’d take Angelica’s place and marry Jackson, the man already crippled in both legs.

Calvin hadn’t expected this at all. He paused, surprised, then thought it over. He said, It’s not impossible. It depends on whether Hector and Daisy are willing.

Of course, Daisy was willing. She had dreamed for years of having a daughter of her own.

Hector saw the excitement in Daisy’s eyes and had already made up his mu

But before either of them could speak, Julia stepped in. No. Victoria is the daughter I gave birth to. How can I let her call someone else Mom and Dad?

Angelica, who had just relaxed a little, stiffened again. Panic flashed in her eyes, but she quickly hid it.

She understood now. No matter how much Daisy cared for her, she was no longer their biological daughter. That blood tie she lacked could become a problem someday.

Victoria let out a soft, sarcastic laugh. Why not? Angelica doesn’t share your blood either, but you raised her and protected her. She still calls you Mom and Dad.”

Julia was caught off guard and couldn’t respond right away. That’s different. Angelica has been with us for twenty years. We

have a bond.

Victoria didn’t bother arguing with her. She turned to Daisy instead, her tone serious. Aunt Daisy, would you and Uncle Hector be willing to be my parents?

Daisy’s hands trembled. She hesitated for a moment, then looked at Hector. Hector?

The moment he said yes, Daisy pulled Victoria into a tight embrace, tears streaming down her face. Good girl, I’ll be your mother from now on. You’re my daughter.

Daisy, how can you do this?Julia panicked.

She felt the same way Darell did. She could reject her own daughter, but she couldn’t accept her daughter calling someone else Mom. It felt like a slap in the face.

Mom, Victoria said softly and naturally. That one word filled Daisy with happiness.

But to Julia, it sounded unbearable. Victoria, stop being stubborn. I’m your real mother.

Victoria stepped out of Daisy’s arms and looked at Julia coldly. Aunt Julia, don’t call me that. Your daughter is Angelica.

Julia’s eyes widened. Victoria, I’m your mother, not your aunt. She reached out, trying to pull Victoria closer.

Calvin tapped his cane on the ground. Enough. It’s too late for regrets. His voice was firm. I’m making the decision today. From now on, Victoria is Hector and Daisy’s daughter.”

CalvinJulia’s voice shook with unwillingness.

Enough!Calvin snorted. Your own daughter doesn’t want you. That’s on you.”

Julia felt a wave of grievance rise in her chest. She hadn’t expected Victoria to be this stubborn. She’d only said a few harsh words, and now Victoria had chosen someone else as her mother.

Darell stepped in again. Dad, Victoria is just upset with us. This talk about adoption is nonsense. She’s our daughter. How could we not want her?

Victoria let out a cold laugh. Stop fooling yourselves. I’m serious. I just don’t want you anymore. Even if you throw Angelica out right now, it won’t change anything.”

Being talked back to like this by his own daughter made Darell’s face darken.

now and cut all ties for good.”

To prove she meant every word, Victoria pulled her ID documents out of her bag and handed them to Calvin. Grandpa, please help me complete the adoption as soon as possible.”

Calvin took them and nodded. Alright.

Then he turned to Hector and Daisy. You’ve had a long journey. Take Victoria and get her settled first. We’ll have dinner ogether later.

Hector and Daisy both nodded quickly. Okay.

Once they left the main hall and walked onto the gravel path leading back to Goldenwood Villa, Daisy still hadn’t calmed

down.

Her mind felt unreal, like a dream. She had a daughter now. Just like that, she had become a mother.

Hector noticed she was so distracted that she nearly tripped over a stone. He quickly steadied her, his voice gentle, his eyes full of warmth. Careful. Don’t let Victoria laugh at you.”

Daisy snapped back to her senses. After taking a breath, she looked at Victoria, a little nervous. Victoria, there’s no one else here now. Tell me honestly.

When you said you wanted us as your parents, you weren’t just acting out of anger, were you?”

Victoria hadn’t expected her decision to affect Daisy this much. It only made her more certain. Of course not. I like you both. From now on, you’re my parents.

Then she added, Don’t you want me as your daughter?

Daisy shook her head quickly. Of course we do. I’m just afraid you might regret it later. If you do, there’s still time to tell your grandfather to stop the adoption.

Victoria didn’t hesitate. I won’t. I’ll never regret it.”

Relief softened Daisy’s face into a warm smile. Good. Victoria, from now on, you’re our daughter. No one can take you away from us.
