Queen Of Revenge And Glory (Victoria and Jackson) novel Chapter 87

Chapter 87

Jackson smiled. Vickie, you’re flattering me. It’s really not that hard to figure out. You said you’re a

shareholder here, but as far as I know, this restaurant has always been a small business under the Cooke family.

It just wasn’t wellknown before, so nobody paid attention. It only started to gain traction in Berwig City after they revamped things in the last couple of years.

Vickie shrugged. See? I told you he’s quickwitted. But

What really surprised her was, I didn’t expect you, Jackson, as the prospective heir to the Thornton family, to be so swamped with worknot exactly managing everything, but you’re definitely busy -yet you even know who actually owns a small business like Mimiburg.

Jackson explained, If you want to go far, you don’t have to know every business in the country or the world, but at least you should be familiar with the major players in Benwig City. Know yourself and your competition, and you’ll always come out on top.

Oliver watched Vickie and Jackson, quietly pouring himself a cup of coffee, thinking to himself, Seriously, what kind of overpowered monsters are these two?

If he really had to go back and inherit the family business, he could only hope Jackson would show some mercy and not crush the Cooke family’s businesses completely.

After leaving Mimiburg, Angelica looked apologetic as she turned to Simon. I’m sorry, Simon. I couldn’t help out this time.”

Simon was disappointed, but he didn’t blame his adopted sister. He comforted her gently, It’s not your fault. I let my guard down. I never expected Victoria to pull a move like that and have us running in circles.

Curtis snorted, Angelica, it’s not on you. That little troublemaker is way too sly. She totally caught us off guard today.

Angelica asked worriedly, Simon, what do we do now?

Looks like the only way to meet the real Viara is to wait for the meetandgreet at the end of the month,” Simon said, disappointment clear in his voice. He knew he’d missed his chance.

Curtis was pissed off, glancing back at the restaurant with eyes practically shooting fire. No way, I can’t just let this slide.”

Simon frowned, What are you planning? I told you, just hold off for now. Don’t stir things up.

Curtis clenched his fists. Simon, just let me handle this. I’ll be careful.

He turned to Angelica. Angelica, you take Simon’s car and head home first.

Angelica was secretly pleased. Curtis was planning to give Victoria a hard time again. But she pretended to be worried and concerned on the outside. Curtis, maybe you should listen to

Simon….

Curtis said, “Angelica, trust me. I’ll make sure Victoria gives you a proper explanation for what happened todayfor deceiving and humiliating you.”

Curtis

Alright, that’s enough. If you keep going, I’m really going to lose my temper,” Curtis said.

Angelica pressed her lips together and fell silent.

She didn’t want to waste any more time pretending. All she wanted now was for Victoria to get what she deservedand fast.

Seeing that Curtis was dead set on getting revenge, Simon didn’t bother trying to talk him out of it anymore. I already warned you. If you don’t listen, whatever happens, you’re on your own.”

Curtis said confidently, I’ll be fine.”

After Simon drove off with Angelica, Curtis got into his own car and took his time cruising through the underground parking lot, looking for Victoria’s car.

He remembered that since Victoria returned to the Binder family, she’d been driving a white Porsche Panamera.

It didn’t take long before he spotted it.

Turned out, it was parked in a VIP spot.

Hmph, who would’ve thought a girl from some backwater would be rolling around in a luxury ride? Curtis thought.

He glared at Victoria’s car, eyes full of menace, then whipped out his phone and called a nearby bodyguard. Bring your crew over here, right now. I’ve got a job for you.

After hanging up, Curtis squeezed his phone so hard his knuckles turned white.

‘I never wanted to resort to such low blows, but Victoria left me no choice,Curtis thought. If she’s dead set on making trouble and won’t let us catch a break, then I’ll just have to get ruthless.

Before long, the chief bodyguard who’d been keeping watch nearby knocked on Curtis’s car window.

The window slid down, revealing Curtis’s cold, menacing face.

Boss, what do you need? the bodyguard asked.

Curtis lifted his chin and pointed at the parking spot across from him. Sabotage the brakes on that white Panamera, and slap a GPS tracker on it.

When Victoria crashed. Curtis was determined to be right there, savoring every moment of her misery.

He wanted to see her begging him to save her life and drag her to the hospital.

The bodyguard paused for a second, then nodded. Got it

Take out all the surveillance cameras around here. Don’t leave a single trace,Curtis ordered.

Understood,the bodyguard replied.

Once the chief bodyguard and his crew headed off to carry out Curtis’s orders, Curtis rolled up his window and pulled out of the Mimiburg parking lot.

He watched the white Panamera fade into the distance in his rearview mirror, a satisfied grin slowly curling at his lips.

An hour passed.

Oliver, Vickie and I are having our engagement party this Saturday night. You have to come and show your support, Jackson said to Oliver.

Oliver nodded. Of course. I’m basically like Vickie’s brother now, so if you ever dare to mess with her, you’ll have the Cooke family to answer to.”

Jackson just smiled, not bothering to make any promises.

If promises really worked, there wouldn’t be so much betrayal in the world.

All he could do now was prove himself, day after day.

Victoria just laughed. Don’t worry, he should be more concerned about me giving him a hard

time.

Oliver chuckled. Yeah, that’s true.” He paused, then asked, So, have you figured out who’s getting the rights to Chasing the Dream yet?

Victoria blinked. I’m throwing a meetandgreet at the end of the month. You’ll see for yourself.

Oliver let it go.

After caying goodbye to Oliver, Victoria turned to Jackson. Let’s head to our usual spot for your

treatment

Jackson added. Sure

Jow then, the manager of Mimburg walked over to Victoria and whispered. After the three Binder ablings left, Cortis stuck around in the parking lot for a bit. He had someone mess with the surveillance cameras, then started tampering with your car.

Bor we’ve got other cameras that caught everything he did. I’ll send you the footage as soon as it’s rearby

Victoria’s eyes darkened. Understood.”

So Cortis is finally losing his cool and going straight for me, Victoria thought. He really thinks wrecking the cameras means he’s in the clear? What a joke. Seriously, how clueless can he get?

She had eyes and ears all over this restaurant. It was basically her turf.

Now that Curtis had just walked right into her trap, she was going to make him really regret it. Last time, she’d only given him a beatingway too soft. After the whole evening gown mess, Darell just made him write an apology letter on his knees.

She didn’t even know if he actually did it. That kind of slaponthewrist punishment just proved he never took her seriously.

After the manager left, Victoria shot Jackson a mischievous look. You scared of a little danger?

Jackson raised an eyebrow. If it’s with you, I’m game for anything, even risking my life.

Victoria flashed him a dazzling smile. Then get ready, we’re about to pull off something wild.

Jackson grinned. I’ll stick with you, no matter how crazy it gets.

Once they got in the car, Victoria put on her Bluetooth earpiece and checked in with Mara. Mara, have you found out where Curtis is right now?
