Ran Away Pregnant Came Back Alpha Heiress (Amelia and Damien) novel Chapter 191

Chapter 191

Instead, I watched as the man’s whole world seemed to crumple around him. He paled, his eyes sunken but wild, looking all around, unable to focus on anything. He didn’t breathe at all for a moment, and then breathed way too heavily.

Then suddenly, he threw his head back and roared, something halfway between human and beast. Before it ended, he fully shifted again, making the sound fully wolf.

Then, turning his eyes toward the emergency room doors, he pushed forward like he meant to break through them, desperate to find her. Or her corpse.

By now, security had arrived.

Damien didn’t want to fight, he just wanted to break through.

It took six guards to stop him, even with my help, running interference, keeping him away from the doors with my own Alpha wolf body.

Finally, a seventh guard fired a tranquilizer, then a few more, and Damien collapsed.

One of the guards rubbed the sweat off his brow as he asked me, “What should we do with him?”

I replied, “I’m sure Alpha Claude wouldn’t be opposed to holding him in a jail cell for a while. At least until I can get my family out of here.”

The guard considered this. Then he said, “I’m sure Alpha Claude would advise you to get out of the pack as soon as possible then. He doesn’t like getting in between other’s familial spats. And frankly, I’m not sure how long our jail can hold a feral, raging Alpha. You better get gone.”

That was solid advice and I agreed to it.

During the altercation, my parents had disappeared into the emergency room itself, perhaps to protect Amelia as a last line of defense if Damien did make it past me.

As Damien was dragged away, as the danger was clearing, I turned and went to find them. Along the way, I spoke with the doctor.

“We will need to transport Amelia and her baby to my pack as soon as she is able to be moved,” I said. “She can’t stay here.”

The doctor seemed grim, but as he likely had knowledge of what just went on in the waiting room of his hospital, he agreed. “It will be a difficult journey. Perhaps we can get the helicopter to take her. That will make it faster.”

“Spare no expense,” I said. “I’m willing to pay any monetary cost.

The doctor nodded, then turned, presumably to make that happen.

I continued onward until I found Amelia’s room. It wasn’t difficult. I simply followed the same familial bond that had led me to her in that dark forest.

In the room, Amelia was unconscious and pale, sickly looking but clean, without the blood on her face anymore.

Mom and Dad stood beside her, bracketing either side of her. Mom was holding a tiny bundle in her arms. As distracted as I was with my sister’s care, it took me a moment to realize that the bundle was a baby.

When I did, I moved closer to see.

The baby was squirming a little, likely wanting her mother’s touch. Lillian was doing her best but a grandmother, while precious and loved, was not the same as a mother.

“A little girl,” Mom said, smiling warmly down at the baby. Love shined brightly in her eyes.
