Ran Away Pregnant Came Back Alpha Heiress (Amelia and Damien) novel Chapter 496

Chapter 496

Damien’s POV

Something was very wrong here.

Amelia wasn’t listening to me anymore. I tried howling for her, to get her to respond, but she didn’t.

Far too late, I realized my mistake. Amelia had never learned to work together with her wolf, something children. were trained for since a young age. Since she was an adult, and such a strong-willed one at that, it hadn’t

occurred to me that the call of the wild might have been too much for her and her wolf both.

The wolf often helped fight those urges too, but as Amelia’s wolf had been dormant for so long…

I should have anticipated this as a potential outcome.

Amelia and her wolf both, in this moment, seemed entirely lost to their natural urges.

And she was running away like her life depended on it.

I

gave chase. At first, I stayed a distance away, close enough that I could intervene if she got into trouble, but far enough away to give her some time to work through the wild urges.

However, I quickly realized that my mate was much quicker than I would have expected her to be. In fact, she seemed to be moving faster than most of the members of my pack, people who had access and training to their wolves from the start.

Feeling she might start to pull away if I give her too much space, I picked up my own speed to close the distance. My mate saw this as a challenge and started moving even quicker.

She couldn’t outrun me, I was Alpha, but it was curious that she was succeeding as well as she was. It was partially frustrating. She’d obviously lost herself to nature’s call, and was pushing herself to escape me so that she could live free as a wolf, forgetting her human side entirely.

I’d seen this happen in the past, though rarely. It happened much more in days of old, before we started to truly prepare our young for the tests that came with shifting. In days long ago, pack members saw the shift as a rite of

passage.

The shifted would either win out over nature’s temptations, mastering the shifting ability, or they would lose their human side and stay wolves, becoming a part of the wild.

I wasn’t going to let that happen to Amelia.

Yet, even though this was nerve-wracking and frustrating, at the same time, I couldn’t help but feel some pride seeing the depths of my mate’s capabilities on full display.

She was a glorious wolf, so quick and agile. If she could master nature’s call and claim that speed for her own, she could truly become a great warrior, both in human and wolf form.

I wouldn’t admit that to her if I could help it, not wanting her to actually fight.

But the pride was very real. My mate was an exceptional wolf.

I should not have been surprised. She was exceptional at everything else, why not this as well?

This chase triggered something in me, my own primal urges. I was enjoying this, following my mate, gaining speed and closeness. Maybe my own feral side was coming out, egging me on.

As I drew closer, my clever mate began swerving between the trees, using her smaller size and high agility to try to slip away from me.

This was so much fun. And from the noises, she was making, I knew she felt it too.

Then, finally, she slipped out between two trees right in front of me, and I saw my opportunity.

Holding my breath, I gathered myself and pounced. At once, I knocked into her and we rolled on the ground. Then, I pinned her, her on her stomach, me holding the back of her neck in my teeth.

Shift back to human, I whispered through our bond.

She growled, fighting it. The call of the wild was strong within her then, yet nothing would be stronger than the command of her Alpha, especially when I was also her bonded mate.

Now, Amelia.

When I felt her start to shift beneath me, I eased up my toothy hold on her, releasing her neck. As she returned to her human form, so did I.

In human form, I realized just how precarious this position was. We had our clothes on but we were in doggie style position, with her ass pressed up against my hips. Her shoulders were down in the dirt, one of my hand on her hip, the other on her shoulder, instinctively holding her in this position.

I needed to make myself move, not wanting to offend her. Yet, just as I started to back off, she growled.

She looked over her shoulder back at me. Fire, hot and wild, burned in her eyes. It ignited the same desire within me. The wild was still holding us both, driving our instincts forward. I wouldn’t trust this feeling on look alone.

If she wanted me as I wanted her, she needed to say so.

“Fuck me, Damien,” she said, growling.

She couldn’t be much clearer than that.

I grabbed the waistband of her yoga pants and pulled them and her panties beneath down her thighs, exposing herself. Her sex glistened in the morning light. She was so wet already.

My dick swelled even further, becoming rock hard as I shuffled my track pants down, exposing myself.

She braced herself, lifting her hips even higher.

Gods, how could I ever resist an invitation like that?

I couldn’t, so I lined myself to her damp entrance and slid easily deep inside, all the way to the hilt.

There was nothing soft about this moment, as I pulled out and immediately thrust back in. With each thrust, she pushed her hips back to meet me. Again and again, over and over, we fucked like wild animals, grunting and growling.

Amelia clawed at the dirt.

I dragged my hand over the bare small of her back and the curve of her ass, pleased to feel her sweaty and shaking with the force of her desire.

Knowing she was as animalistic as me in this moment, that she wanted this as badly as I did, made everything so much hotter.
