Lydia got the message.
“Okay, just keep an eye on him for me, but don’t let him catch on.”
Tina nodded without hesitation. “Of course.”
Lydia still had no idea why Lucinda had brought Frank to the house, but she was certain they were up to something.
Upstairs, Lucinda was in the middle of a mini fashion show, pulling out four dresses, each a different style and color. She slipped into a white strapless dress. Kylie told her it was gorgeous, but Lucinda looked torn.
“Mom, we’re just going to a family dinner. Isn’t this too much? Maybe I should try the pink one instead.”
Kylie just smiled. “You’re beautiful, Lucinda. You can wear anything and look amazing. Just pick what you like best.”
Lucinda kept changing outfits, but nothing felt quite right. Kylie watched her, a little amused, and finally said, “Should I call someone to bring over a few more options?”
“It’s okay, Mom, I’m just being indecisive.”
Kylie grinned. “Why not call your sister for some advice? She’s Miss L, after all. She always knows what looks best.”
Lucinda shook her head right away. “She’s so busy, I don’t want to bother her. I’ll ask Grandpa and Dad instead. Tonight’s my first time visiting everyone at the Robinsons. I really don’t want to embarrass you.”
She was already heading for the door, excitement lighting up her face. “Wait for me, Mom. I’ll be right back.”
Kylie just shook her head, smiling as Lucinda hurried off.
Down in the game room, Cameron, Connor, and Mr. Norwood were deep into a chess match when Lucinda’s sweet voice floated in from the hall. “Grandpa, Dad, sorry to interrupt, but do you think this dress is okay for the dinner tonight?”
She stepped inside, pausing just long enough to strike her most charming pose.
It was hard not to notice Lucinda. She’d been pampered her entire life and carried herself with a confidence only a real heiress could pull off. With delicate features, flawless skin from high-end skincare, and that expensive little dress, she looked stunning.

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
