If it hadn’t been for Juna’s background, Lucinda’s classmates would have probably ganged up on her with their words alone. But Juna was a force of nature, and everyone knew better than to mess with her.
Lydia was another story. She didn’t have a famous family name, but as Kevin’s favorite protégé, she was still off-limits.
“Miss Davis, Lucinda is the richest girl in the country. Booking a place like this is nothing for her,” someone piped up, quick to defend Lucinda.
“Yeah, Miss Davis, Lucinda’s monthly allowance is in the tens of millions. Spending money here is no big deal for her.”
Honestly, everyone at school thought Juna was unbearable. For all that money her family had, she never once treated her classmates to anything nice. She was stingy, plain and simple.
So now, when Lucinda was the one footing the bill and being generous, Juna still had to show up with her snarky attitude. It was so annoying.
Juna raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips. “Wow, must be nice to be the nation’s richest heiress. So generous with other people’s money. I guess it’s easy to spend when you didn’t earn it yourself.”
The Norwood family was the one bankrolling Lucinda’s lifestyle. Juna just couldn’t stand how fake Lucinda acted. If you’re a fake heiress trying to hang on to your place in the Norwood family, shouldn’t you at least keep a low profile? But no, Lucinda was out here every day, showing off a title that wasn’t even hers.
Lucinda definitely didn’t want to get on Juna’s bad side. Juna, after all, knew the truth about her. “Miss Davis, we only booked a room this big because there are so many of us,” Lucinda said, trying to keep things calm.
That was all it took for the others to jump in.
“Yeah, there’s a whole crowd of us. A smaller room wouldn’t do.”
“Miss Davis, aren’t you an heiress too? Why not invite a few more friends out to play?” another classmate said, their voice thick with sarcasm.
Juna just laughed. “You are so stupid.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
