People all around started looking at Lydia with real admiration, any doubts about her completely gone.
Rosie’s face twisted with disbelief. She never thought Lydia would turn out to be Owen, and on top of that, a total master at Go. Lucinda was even worse off, completely crushed by Lydia’s brilliance. All her fight was gone, but inside, the jealousy burned hotter than ever. With Lydia in the picture, Lucinda had no room to shine. The only way her life could get back to normal was if Lydia disappeared for good.
Kylie and Cameron were stunned. They had no idea their daughter had secretly become Mr. Rowland’s student. Her talent made them feel a pang of guilt. She had worked so hard as a kid, and they hadn’t been there for her. Quietly, they both promised themselves they’d make up for all the love they’d missed out on giving her. From now on, they’d double it.
The party rolled on. Besides Mr. Rowland, the birthday star, Lydia became the center of attention. Guests crowded around, asking her about painting and Go. She answered everyone patiently, always wearing a gentle, humble smile.
Meanwhile, in a corner of the hall, Rosie sat with Benjamin and Mandy, all of them looking furious and unwilling to let things go.
“Mom, Dad, Lydia is so full of herself. She didn’t just ruin my plans. She embarrassed me in front of everyone!” Rosie complained, her voice trembling with frustration. She’d lost the bet, so she’d had to serve tea and apologize to Lydia and Juna. Only she knew how humiliating that felt.
Mandy’s eyes darkened as she patted Rosie’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, Rosie. The higher she climbs now, the harder she’ll fall later.”
Benjamin leaned in, lowering his voice. “Exactly. She’s Connor’s fiancée, so your uncle won’t just go after Connor. He’ll deal with her too. All this attention she’s getting is temporary. Only the last one standing can really call themselves the winner.”
Mandy nodded in agreement. “Your dad’s right. Your uncle just took office. Everyone’s watching, so he can’t act rashly. We just have to wait. Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

thank u!...
thank u for the upload...
the next chapter is exciting...
the next upload is exciting. i cant wait....
Every chapter is missing a sentence from the end of every chapter. It’s frustrating to try guess what’s missing or said...
