Getting picked for the international medical competition was a huge deal. It wasn’t just about winning medals, it was a chance to make a name for yourself. People who had stood out in past competitions now had top jobs in the medical field, all thanks to that one shining moment.
Naturally, everyone wanted in. Competition for those spots was fierce.
Fiona sighed. “I heard we only get three spots this year. Seriously? We’re Capital Med School. Shouldn’t we get more?”
Monica chimed in, “The national team only has ten spots total. Every school’s fighting for their students to get in. Capital College’s medical department only gets three too.”
She paused and lowered her voice. “But usually, the spots go to graduating students. Lydia’s the obvious choice. If she doesn’t go, it’s the school’s loss. But Yara is just a sophomore. Why is she even in the running?”
It made sense. Third-year students were about to graduate and had learned more than the younger students. Sending them to represent the school was the safest bet.
Monica smirked. “Well, Yara’s grandpa just happens to be the vice principal of Capital Med.”
Lydia barely reacted. She was scrolling through her phone when it suddenly buzzed with a call from Kevin.
She picked up. Kevin’s voice was gentle but worried. “Hey, the professors all want you to go to the international competition, but… what about your health?”
Lydia knew why he was concerned. She’d made a splash at the last academic competition, so of course the professors thought of her first. But only Kevin knew about her health issues.
He was afraid it would be too much for her.
Lydia answered without hesitation. “I’ll be fine. I want to go.”
She loved proving herself at international events, especially in front of people who looked down on her.
Kevin relented. “Alright, but promise me you’ll take care of yourself. Don’t overdo it.”

thank u!...
thank u for the upload...
the next chapter is exciting...
the next upload is exciting. i cant wait....
Every chapter is missing a sentence from the end of every chapter. It’s frustrating to try guess what’s missing or said...
