“What? Marilyn, you went to wake her up and she gave you attitude?” Yara looked at her like she had just heard the wildest gossip.
Marilyn just got even more annoyed seeing Yara’s reaction. “Right? Look at the time. She’s still in bed. Does she really think she’s all that just because she got first place in the academic competition?”
Yara shook her head and let out a sigh. “Exactly. She’s only acting like this because she’s Mr. Moore’s prized student. If it hadn’t been a freshman-only event, you and Collin would have wiped the floor with her. No way she’d have gotten first place.”
Collin, who had been quiet the whole time, turned a little red when Yara mentioned him. He added, “She’s way too full of herself. But if she doesn’t show up, what if she drags down our team score?”
Word was, this competition didn’t just have individual awards. There was a team score too.
That was exactly why Marilyn was so worked up. She huffed, “I already told her not to hold us back. Later, we’ll go straight to Dr. Tomlinson and tell him Lydia said she doesn’t need the training.”
Seeing everyone on her side for once made Yara feel so much better. She still remembered how annoyed she felt watching all those votes for Lydia on the school forum. Lydia stole all her thunder, and it drove her crazy. Thank goodness her grandpa pulled some strings this time. If Lydia made it to the international competition and she didn’t, she’d never live it down. Just wait. At this international medical competition, she was going to put Lydia in her place for good.
“Alright, let’s go find Dr. Tomlinson first.”
Dr. Tomlinson wasn’t just a professor. He worked at the university hospital too, and he was a big name in surgery. Today they had the chance to watch a heart surgery, which was huge for them. Who would’ve thought Lydia would still be sleeping in her dorm, acting like she didn’t need to learn anything? She was just unbelievable.
After listening to the three of them, Dr. Tomlinson paused for a moment. “I’ll talk to Lydia about this later. For now, go get changed and head into the OR.”
Marilyn nodded hard. “Yes, Dr. Tomlinson. We really don’t want her dragging down the whole team.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
