Kylie called her, saying they should go congratulate him over the weekend. She also suggested Lydia take a look at their grandparents while they were there. Their health hadn’t been great lately, and Lydia had promised to check on them, but the timing never worked out.
That evening, Lydia got a message from Malcolm, the Secretary-General of the Inspectorate Division. It read, [Ms. Norwood, there’s a small assignment tomorrow night. Are you free?]
Lydia thought it over and replied, [I can do it. I have some materials to give you too.]
On the other side of campus, Lucinda had just gotten word about William’s promotion and the upcoming celebration at the Robinson family’s place. She was glowing with pride.
Her roommates noticed right away. “Lucinda, why are you so happy? Is your boyfriend coming to pick you up this weekend or something?”
The mention of her boyfriend made Lucinda’s smile falter for a split second.
Hannah, worried she’d said the wrong thing, hesitated before asking, “Did I say something wrong, Lucinda?”
Lucinda quickly recovered. “No, it’s nothing like that. My mom told me my uncle got promoted, and this weekend… I’m supposed to bring my boyfriend to the celebration.”
“That’s awesome, Lucinda! What did he get promoted to?”
The news wasn’t public yet, so only people close to the family knew.

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
