Lucinda had no idea that Lydia was already on the nation’s radar as someone special. She was anything but ordinary, so it made sense that she didn’t play by the usual rules. The government wanted her to stay and contribute, and as long as she stayed loyal, they basically let her do whatever she wanted.
Mabel could tell Lucinda was being way too obvious with her attitude. She sighed to herself, then turned to Lydia. “Hey, Lydia, can you check on Grandpa and Grandma? Their health hasn’t been great lately.”
Lydia nodded. “Sure thing.”
Mr. Robinson and Mrs. Robinson were simply getting older. Their bodies just weren’t what they used to be. Achy backs and legs, restless nights, sensitive stomachs... basically, they felt off all the time. They’d tried every doctor they could find and spent a fortune on all sorts of fancy remedies. Sometimes they’d feel better for a few days, but those moments never lasted long. The aches and pains always came back.
Lydia sat down and carefully checked their pulses. The rest of the family gathered around, sneaking peeks at Lydia’s face, trying to guess what she was thinking. If a doctor looked serious while taking your pulse, the illness must be bad. But Lydia was the kind of person who could stay calm even if the sky was falling, so nobody could read a thing from her expression.
When she finished, Lydia gave a small smile. “It’s really nothing serious. I’ll write up a few prescriptions for them, and they’ll start feeling better soon.”
Nathaniel looked skeptical. “Just some medicine? That’s really all it takes?”
He knew his grandparents had tried that stuff before.
Lydia thought for a moment. “They’ll need acupuncture too.”
Cameron and Kylie trusted Lydia’s medical skills completely, and Mabel knew how good she was too. Hearing Lydia’s plan, Mabel nodded right away. “That’s great. With Lydia treating them herself, we can finally stop worrying.”

thank u!...
thank u for the upload...
the next chapter is exciting...
the next upload is exciting. i cant wait....
Every chapter is missing a sentence from the end of every chapter. It’s frustrating to try guess what’s missing or said...
