Mandy’s forehead was already swollen and red. If she kept going, she might actually hurt herself for real. Lydia finally spoke, her tone calm but firm. “Alright, that’s enough. You don’t need to put on a show for me.”
Mandy looked up, hopeful and desperate. “So… you agree?”
Lydia let out a small laugh. “She’ll stay inside for one month. After that, she has to post a public apology video online, explain the truth, and clear things up. Then this will be over.”
Mandy hesitated, uncertain.
Lydia continued, “A month in there, or up to three years in prison. It’s your choice.”
Lydia wasn’t the type to feel sorry for people who made their own messes, especially someone like Rosie who never learned. If you did something wrong, you had to face the consequences. Honestly, a month was pretty lenient. Someone as full of herself as Rosie wouldn’t understand fear unless she actually experienced it. And after everything Rosie had stirred up, the Gibson family was going to face even more trouble anyway.
Mandy didn’t want her daughter to suffer, but a month was so much better than three years in prison. As soon as Benjamin heard the decision, he jumped in right away. “A month. Fine. Lydia, Rosie really needs to learn her lesson!”
Even Benjamin was on board now. Rosie had caused way too many problems lately. She really needed to be taught a hard lesson.
Mandy nodded, knowing she had no other choice. She understood Lydia’s style. She never went back on her word. One month meant one month, and if they tried to argue, Rosie could end up stuck inside for much longer.

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
