Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 1211

He’d been waiting for this day for what felt like forever. Finally, the serum had arrived. He was so hyped that he shot Lydia a text right away. [You’re the best. Love you. *heart emojis*]

Lydia just stared at her phone for a second, not sure how to respond.

The serum had to be injected directly into the body, and it had to be painless. Lydia thought it through. She needed to numb the area first, then use a high-pressure injector to send the medicine in as a super fine mist. That way, it wouldn’t hurt and nobody would notice anything weird.

That night, the three of them met up again. Juna took one look at Lincoln, who looked like he hadn’t slept in days, and couldn’t help making fun of him.

“Wow, what happened to you? You look like you got run over by a truck.”

Lincoln let out a long sigh. “You have no idea how stressed I am lately. My dad, my mom, everyone at home is losing it because of my grandpa. He’s driving us all crazy.”

Juna knew she probably shouldn’t laugh, but she kind of wanted to.

“So, what’s your grandpa doing this time?”

Lincoln rolled his eyes. “Same old stuff. He says he’s bored and wants to get back to the company. Basically, he just wants to take control again.”

Lydia was quiet for a moment. “It won’t be much longer. Just hang in there for two more months. We’ll do our best to wrap everything up before the New Year. I want all of us to have a good holiday for once.”

If they didn’t get this sorted, nobody was going to enjoy anything, not even the holidays.

Even though they finally had the antidote, hearing Lydia say they had to wait two more months made Lincoln want to lose it. “Lydia, can you please hurry up? We’re seriously at the end of our rope here.”

Lydia stayed calm. “We’re moving as fast as we can. But we have to do this step by step.”
