Connor wasted no time calling for Dr. Hady and the medical team. Suddenly, the room was buzzing with activity. After a thorough checkup, Dr. Hady confirmed that Mrs. Smith was stable, though she’d need plenty of time and therapy to recover.
Lydia’s eyes filled with happy tears. All she could think was how perfect this was. Her grandma would finally be there to see her and Connor get married.
On New Year’s Eve, the Norwood family home was lit up with dazzling lights, which painted the whole courtyard with a soft, golden glow. Kylie had brought in the most famous photography team from the Capital. She’d gone all out with beautiful props and even had custom family outfits made, wanting to make this reunion unforgettable.
Lydia wore a stunning red dress, updated with modern touches. The collar and cuffs were embroidered with fine silver thread, and the pearl buttons caught the warm light. Her hair was swept up neatly, pinned with a little hairpiece, giving her a sweet and graceful look.
Connor was there too, dressed in a matching suit. He stood tall at Lydia’s side, his eyes overflowing with warmth and affection. The four Norwood brothers had all put on matching black long coats, making them look even more sharp and handsome than usual.
Mr. Norwood, Kylie, and Cameron wore deep burgundy outfits and sat at the front, beaming with happiness. After so many years, the whole family was finally together. The pure joy on their faces said it all.
“Alright, everyone, squeeze in a little closer,” the photographer called, holding up his camera.
Lydia stood in the center, Connor on her left with his hand resting gently at her waist. Her four brothers gathered at her right, forming a close half-circle.
“One, two, three… smile!”
The camera shutter sounded, capturing that moment of family warmth forever.
The photographer wasn’t done yet. He suggested they head out to the courtyard for some more photos, this time with the fireworks in the background.

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
