Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 323

“Mr. Colton, you two—”

Grayson’s voice shook with anger. “You’re the principal, and you’re messing around with a teacher?”

“Director, please, I’m so sorry. I’ll do anything. Just don’t let this get out, please,” Mr. Colton begged, sweat pouring down his face. He looked like he knew his days in that office were numbered.

Aiden just scoffed. “Seriously, Mr. Colton? After all the dirty things you’ve done, you still have the nerve to beg Grayson for help?”

Grayson and Mr. Colton had always been on good terms, but he had no clue about the affair with Ms. Santoro.

A married man. A married woman. The principal. A teacher.

“This is outrageous. Absolutely outrageous. Don’t even think about me covering this up for you.”

Ms. Santoro’s legs buckled and she dropped to the floor. Her face went paper white, and for a second, she couldn’t even speak.

How did it come to this? Nobody at school had any idea about her and Mr. Colton. How did it all get exposed now?

And in front of everyone, like this?

Suddenly, her eyes went wide.

Lydia.

It had to be her.

She remembered the time she and Mr. Colton snuck away to the riverbank outside town. Right after they finished, she saw Lydia walk by with a basket on her back. She’d tried to test Lydia the next day at school, but Lydia didn’t let anything slip. Ms. Santoro never thought Lydia had really seen anything.

But the video that just played, that was clearly in the principal’s office. How did it get out?

Ms. Santoro just sat there, completely stunned.

She had no idea that this was only the beginning.

The scandalous video didn’t just end up in the security room. It was also posted online, with the sensitive parts blurred out.

Alongside it, there was footage of Lydia during her final exam and a short statement.

Calling it a statement was generous—it was more of a mic drop.

Some of the medals were from when she was just six. In three years, she’d racked up so many honors, both national and international, it didn’t even seem real.

Was she even real?

She was a legend.

Everyone online was losing their minds. Their pride was shattered. What were they supposed to do now?

“Oh my god, Cameron, Lydia is amazing. She’s actually unbelievable. She was only eight, just a little kid. How did she do all that?” Kylie stared at the pictures, her eyes red with a mix of pride and heartbreak.

Lucinda’s jaw dropped. She glued her eyes to her phone and couldn’t look away, as if she was afraid the screen would disappear.

How was this even possible? Lydia had won awards before she was eight that most people could only dream about in a lifetime. And she had so many.

Cameron was just as stunned. He and Garrett huddled together, eyes glued to the phone, practically jumping up and down in excitement.

“First place, first place, grand prize, outstanding contribution award. Garrett, you and your brothers better step it up. You don’t want to embarrass your little sister.”
