Blake’s name was called, and he looked up at the screen, his eyes as intense as the ocean.
Sierra’s hands were clenched tight as she silently begged, Pick me. Please, Blake, pick me.
The room went quiet for a heartbeat before Blake finally spoke, his voice low and cool. “I vote for number twelve, Jenny.”
Sierra shot him a glare, furious and frustrated.
Jenny, meanwhile, felt like she’d been hit by a stroke of pure luck. Was she hearing this right? Blake, the CEO of Norwood Enterprises, had chosen her?
Jenny’s design had already been in third place, but with Blake’s vote, her score shot up and she landed at the top.
Evalina watched Blake, biting her lip in suspicion. Number twelve was from his country, just like him. Was this just favoritism?
The host turned to Blake with a smile. “Blake, can you tell us why you chose number twelve?”
Blake’s face stayed cool and unreadable. “The design fits the theme, it’s unique, and most importantly, it appeals to women from different countries. It has real market potential.”
One by one, the rest of the judges cast their votes. Two more picked Jenny. Marissa got a vote, and so did Evalina and Sierra.
Then it was Lydia’s turn.
In the fashion world, Lydia was a legend. Any designer she picked instantly became a global sensation.
“Miss L,” the host said, “which design do you have your eye on?”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
