Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 416

Lydia let out a cold laugh. “How exactly did I force you? You’re the one who insisted on making that oath.”

“I…” Sierra faltered. Even if she didn’t really believe in fate or curses, there was no way she could bring herself to curse her own life. What if, one day, those ugly words actually came true?

“I just remembered something!” Jenny suddenly spoke up, her eyes lighting with realization. “Sierra, when you came to Greenward Power to interview, I was working the front desk. You came over to ask me where the interview was being held, and I was busy sketching at the time. You saw my sketch, didn’t you?”

Jenny replayed the memory in her mind, the image crystal clear. No wonder Sierra’s design looked so much like hers.

Sierra’s face went pale for a second, but she quickly snapped back. “Jenny, you are lying. Obviously, Greenward Power ripped off my design just to make you look good, and now you’re turning around to blame me? That’s just pathetic.”

Jenny stared at her, stunned by how shameless Sierra could be. She was the one who stole her work, and now she was accusing Greenward Power of stealing from her?

“You should be ashamed. You snuck a look at my design when I wasn’t paying attention, copied it, and now you’re trying to pin it on me?”

“Oh, please. You say I copied you, but where’s your proof?”

They were abroad. Even if Jenny wanted to dig deeper, it wouldn’t be easy to find evidence right away. As long as Sierra kept denying it, and nothing concrete turned up, no one could do anything about it. If Miss L wanted to protect Jenny’s reputation, she’d just have to call it an unfortunate coincidence.

“You really think you can just lie your way out of this?” Lydia’s voice was icy, her dark eyes full of contempt.

The only reason Sierra was being so bold in front of everyone like this was because she, Blake, and Lydia were all from the same country. The judges from other countries probably wouldn’t interfere, figuring it was best to let them sort things out themselves.

“You’re just trying to use your position to push me around, aren’t you?”

Now it was obvious to everyone who had plagiarized whom. Sierra had copied Jenny, plain as day.

“No… this can’t be… it’s not real!” Sierra shouted, her voice cracking.

“If you can’t accept the truth, then you can wait for the legal team to contact you,” Lydia said, her tone flat and unbothered.

Sierra’s cheating was embarrassingly obvious. Did she really think no one would catch her? Lydia had been suspicious the moment she saw Sierra’s design and wasted no time checking the security cameras. It hadn’t taken long to find exactly what she needed.

Any audience members who still doubted whether Jenny had really won first place on her own skill felt a wave of shame sweep over them.
