Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 633

Lola shrank behind Paul, refusing to meet anyone’s eyes. She knew they’d messed with the wrong person tonight. If the security cameras gave them away, they were finished.

“Paul, I… my stomach hurts. Can you please take me to the hospital? It really hurts,” she whimpered, clutching her belly and putting on her most miserable face.

Paul was clearly panicking. “Don’t worry, babe, I’ll get you to the hospital right now.” He wrapped his arm around Lola, already edging toward the exit. He glanced at Nathaniel. “Lola’s not feeling well. I need to take her to see a doctor.”

Nathaniel’s eyes narrowed. He could tell Paul was up to something. “Hold on,” he said.

Paul froze, forcing a nervous smile. “Mr. Robinson, she’s really sick, I swear. This could be serious. Please let me take her.”

Nathaniel’s expression went icy. “I said, wait!”

He turned to a security guard who looked completely lost. “Go get the security footage.”

The guard snapped to attention and ran off to the surveillance room.

Paul looked like he was about to cry. If that footage came out, he was screwed.

“Mr. Robinson, we messed up tonight, I admit it, but Lola’s really not okay. Can’t we just…”

“No.” Nathaniel cut him off without even looking at him.

A few moments later, the guard came rushing back with the footage and handed it to Nathaniel. Nathaniel cursed under his breath, then waved over four more guards. “Hold them both down.”

Paul’s face went white as the guards grabbed him and Lola.

Paul was shaking. He dropped to his knees, begging. “Please, Mr. Robinson! I still want to race with you. I want to help you. I’m really sorry!”

Nathaniel just scoffed. “Don’t ever tell anyone you’re under my protection again. You’re nothing but a disgrace.”

“No, Mr. Robinson, please! I’m sorry, I really am—” His words cut off with a scream as another guard pulled him away, and he went limp on the floor.

“Get him out of here. I don’t want to see him,” Nathaniel said, barely looking at Paul.

Lola stood nearby, her face drained of color. She whimpered quietly, too afraid to make a sound. She never imagined the world of the rich could be this ruthless. Paul was a trust fund kid from the Capital, but Nathaniel could do whatever he wanted to without a second thought. It was terrifying.

Nathaniel’s whole attitude changed in an instant. He flashed a cocky, playboy smile at Connor. “So, Connor, are you happy with how things turned out?”
