Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 651

Once Lydia’s car pulled away, Soren puffed himself up again. He was still hunched over, one hand on his waist and the other pressed to his chest, but his attitude was as nasty as ever. “Sandy, you said once you were free, you’d hand over Smith Corporation’s assets to me. Let’s go make it official right now.”

Sandy turned to look at him, her smile cold and dark. “When did I ever say that? What I actually said was, if you saved me, I’d repay you with Smith Corporation’s assets. But how did you treat me?”

She pushed up her sleeves, showing off bruises in every shade of purple and blue.

“Soren, did you ever treat me like a person? All you care about is my money. You should be grateful I’m not reporting you for keeping me prisoner and abusing me.”

It wasn’t just her arms. Her whole body was covered in bruises like these.

Hiding out here had kept her off the police’s radar, but Soren had made her life miserable. He forced her to do the dirtiest, hardest work, beat her, cursed at her, and made her sleep in a dog cage. Now he wanted her money too?

Soren just stared. One second Sandy was on her knees, begging and letting him take out all his anger on her, the next she was standing up to him like nothing could touch her.

“Sandy, you little—”

“Shut up!” Sandy snapped. “Every bruise on me is evidence. If I walk into a police station right now, you’ll get arrested on the spot. Want to find out if I’m lying?” Her laugh was wild, almost crazed.

Did he really think she was some helpless maiden? Did he think her years with the White family had been for nothing? She’d survived more than ten years of torture from that monster Frank. Soren’s pathetic cruelty was nothing compared to that.

Soren honestly hadn’t seen this coming. He wanted to slap her, kick her, do anything to show her who was in charge—but he could barely move. He really needed a hospital. Lydia had gone at him hard.

“Sandy! Fine! You want to mess with me? Just wait and see!” He couldn’t fight, so he tried to win with words.

Luke stayed silent the whole drive. When they got to the villa, he set a property deed and a transfer agreement down in front of her.

“This is the deed to the house. And this is the agreement to transfer it. I’ve already signed everything. If you want, you can have it put in your name today.”

Sandy picked them up and looked them over. Everything was real.

Milana and Jenson had treasured this villa. Even when the company was struggling, they’d never sold it, saying it was for Luke.

“What’s this supposed to mean? You want to trade this house for half the company?”

Luke shook his head, looking tired. “Grandma’s will was clear. Lydia is the only heir. Smith Corporation has nothing to do with us anymore. This villa is all Mom and Dad have left. I’m giving it to you… as a way to pay you back.”
