Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 683

Ms. Brown just stood there, completely stunned. Wait, so this all started because Daisy randomly accused Lydia of being some rich guy’s kept woman, and Lydia threw water on her to wake her up or something?

Sure, everyone was surprised to find out Lydia had a boyfriend, but come on, this was college. People could date whoever they wanted. For Daisy to just blurt out something that nasty, everyone would be mad?

What made it worse was that Daisy actually teamed up with the dorm supervisor and tried to flip the whole thing around, accusing Lydia of bullying and even pushing to get her expelled. Who does that? Seriously, what kind of person goes that far?

Ms. Powell fixed Daisy with a cold stare. “Daisy, do you have anything else you want to say?”

Daisy had no problem acting tough in front of a dorm supervisor, but facing the school leadership, she finally started to back down a little. “Ms. Powell, I’m not making things up. Unless Lydia brings her boyfriend here to prove me wrong, I stand by what I said. If she doesn’t, it just means she’s hiding something.”

Lydia let out a cold laugh. “Why should I have to prove anything to you? I could sue you for defamation.”

Ronald just shook his head, clearly over it. “Daisy, why do you even care if Lydia has a boyfriend? What you said is out of line. Just admit you were wrong. If you keep dragging this out, Lydia could actually sue you, and you’d have to deal with the consequences.”

Bobby chimed in too. “Daisy, you started all of this with your words. Have you even thought about how much damage your rumors could do to Lydia?”

Daisy immediately burst into tears again. “You’re all just here because Lydia called you! Of course you’re taking her side.”

Ms. Powell’s frown deepened as she stared at Daisy, who still refused to admit she’d done anything wrong. “Lydia has witnesses. Two of her roommates saw the whole thing. You’re still going to deny it?”

“They were bribed by Lydia!” Daisy practically screamed.

Lydia just said, “Call the police.”

As the video played, the whole room could hear Daisy’s words loud and clear.

“She’d never go for the boys at this school. Why don’t you ask her how old her boyfriend is, or what he does?”

“It’s not my problem, but living with someone who sells themselves just feels dirty. And you really think that’s her boyfriend? All those rich old guys outside already have families.”

Daisy’s face went completely white.

Ms. Brown’s legs nearly gave out. She realized her job as a dorm supervisor might be over right then and there.
