After hanging up, Daisy shot Lydia a smug look. “Lydia, you have some connections. So what? I’m not afraid of you.”
Lydia stayed calm, her voice cool. “You just dragged your whole family into this mess.” Without another word, she pulled out her phone and sent a quick message.
Ms. Powell, Ronald, and Bobby could hardly believe Daisy was being so stubborn. She was clearly in the wrong, yet she wouldn’t apologize to Lydia. Instead, she had to blow things up and get her family involved. Did she really think Capital Med School was scared of the Rivers family?
Meanwhile, Wally and his wife Hadley were racing to Capital Med School. Hadley’s perfectly made-up face was twisted with anger. “I can’t believe someone actually dared to mess withour Daisy. Who’s stupid enough to pick a fight with her at Capital Med School? Do they want the Rivers family to ruin their future?”
Wally scowled, shaking his head. “Let’s deal with it when we get there.”
When they burst into the dorm, they found Daisy soaked through and sobbing, looking completely miserable. Hadley was so furious she could barely contain herself. She rushed over and pulled Daisy into her arms. “My poor baby, who did this to you? Who hurt you? I swear, I’ll have their whole family kicked out of the Capital!”
When her parents showed up, Daisy instantly became even more defiant. She pointed right at Lydia and then swept her hand to include everyone else, even Ms. Powell and the others. “She threw water on me! And they all just took her side, trying to make me apologize to her!”
Wally and Hadley were livid, their eyes practically burning with rage.
“You? Who do you think you are, treating my daughter like this?” Hadley snapped, storming over to Lydia, hand ready to slap her.
Wally kept going. “From now on, any student from Capital Med School will never get a job at Rivers Corporation. Not ever.”
Hadley added, “We’ll never work with Capital Med School again, for any medical partnerships.”
Ms. Brown, trembling in the corner, turned anxiously to Ms. Powell. “Ms. Powell, we can’t let this happen. We can’t ruin the future of every student here over one girl.”
Wally sneered at the group. “Out of respect for Kevin, if she kneels and begs my daughter for forgiveness, then admits her mistakes and apologizes sincerely at the opening ceremony, maybe I’ll consider letting Daisy stay at Capital Med School.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
