Fiona and Monica waved excitedly from the crowd, calling out to her like she was a celebrity.
Lydia made her way over, Garrett by her side. The second everyone saw them together, the energy in the hallway shot straight up.
Oh my god!
Was Garrett always this handsome?
A brave girl called out a greeting to Garrett. He smiled back, polite and absolutely charming, and the crowd melted right there.
“He’s so cute. And seriously, how is anyone that good-looking?”
“Forget it, I can’t. He’s just unreal.”
Lydia turned to Fiona and Monica. “You two headed to the lab?”
Fiona nodded. “Yeah, it’s our Friday group lab. We’re working on anatomy again.”
Lydia suddenly remembered she’d promised Monica she’d help her with dissections. But after her border trip, it had completely slipped her mind.
She glanced at Garrett. He was already surrounded, girls asking him questions left and right. Lydia grinned and got an idea. “Why don’t we have Garrett teach this afternoon’s class? He’s almost done with his work at our school, so who knows when we’ll get this chance again.”
She said it to Fiona and Monica, but the other students overheard—and chaos broke out.
“Wait, what? Mr. Norwood’s leaving? He’s really not coming back?”
“No way. Say it isn’t so!”
Lucinda found out when a classmate cornered her between lectures. “Why is your brother teaching there? Shouldn’t he be here with us?”
She pulled up the school forum and almost threw her phone in frustration.
Garrett was being impossible!
The freshman competition was literally tomorrow, and instead of helping them prep, he was across town teaching at Capital Med. Did he even care how she felt?
“Lucinda, can’t you ask Garrett to come teach our med students too? This just isn’t fair.”
“Yeah, what if Capital College loses to Capital Med School? How are we ever supposed to live that down?”
Lucinda forced a smile, trying not to let her irritation show. “Garrett just has some work at Capital Med School right now. It’s probably just a scheduling thing. Anyway, we have Daisy, right? She’s from a family of doctors. There’s no way she’d lose to a bunch of freshmen from Capital Med.”

Olha a história bem boa só algumas coisas são chatas ( nesse tipo de história sempre troca as filhas pela a da empregada ou então pegam uma menina pra criar) pelo menos eles tratam a filha bem só enche o saco que até agora a Lucinda tá lá enchendo ! Fora isso tá bom Connor é um fofo a família dela a ama muito só Lucinda pra abaixar o nível do livro já era pra ter resolvido isso e fazer ela pagar mais tudo bem li um livro chinês que era parecido só algumas coisas diferentes ,ais mesma coisa tipo ela salvou o Connor no início lá ela salvava o avô dele , no chinês ela não tinha um irmão mais novo com os pais adotivos , a mãe dela tinha 2 irmãos e todos os avós estavam vivos mais história quase igual e tem coisas tipo o triângulo que lá TB tinha até a Lucinda que no chines TB ficou o livro todo aprontando só no final a família descobria e se livrava dela aí ela ia morar com o cara que ela usa pra disfarçar que não gosta do Connor aí depois ainda quase matava a irmã dele e a mãe dele que ele via como ela era...
