“Who says our Capital Med School student is just bluffing?”
Right at that moment, a strong, confident voice echoed through the hall.
Lydia lifted an eyebrow, her lips curling into a small, knowing smile.
The crowd stared in shock as a vigorous figure strode onto the stage.
“No way, am I seeing this right? Is that the principal of Capital Med School?”
“You’re not imagining things. That’s Kevin.”
“He hasn’t shown up at an academic competition in years. Why is he here now?”
“I thought he’d skip this year too. Maybe he saw Lydia making a scene and came to do some damage control?”
“Makes sense. If Lydia keeps going like this, Capital Med School will be the laughingstock of the whole medical world.”
Desmond finally let out a breath he’d been holding. The one person who could actually stand up for Lydia had finally arrived.
Kevin’s hair was completely silver, but he was full of energy and looked sharper than anyone else in the room.
Daisy’s hands curled into fists as soon as she saw him. Back when she was at Capital Med School, this old man had been a big reason Lydia had always gotten away with everything. He’d protected her, giving her the confidence to act like she owned the place.
Now, with so many students watching, Daisy wanted to see how far Kevin’s favoritism would go.
“Mr. Moore, are you here to back Lydia up?” Daisy called out, voice steady. She had Capital College behind her now, so she wasn’t afraid of Kevin anymore.
Kevin’s smile never faded. “Actually, there are a lot of brilliant minds in medicine who you’ve probably never heard of. It’s not that they haven’t made a difference. They just work quietly, without chasing fame or attention.”
The room fell silent. People started looking at each other, unsure what to think.
Suddenly, Dr. Donley shot up from his seat. “That’s true! Kevin’s absolutely right. Lydia really is a medical genius. Remember that arterial bleeding surgery at our hospital a month ago? Lydia and Dr. Norwood did it together. They gave everything they had and saved a life.”
Everyone looked stunned, struggling to process what they’d just heard.
No way. That groundbreaking surgery at Mercy Hospital, the one that got the whole medical community talking, was done by Lydia and Dr. Norwood?
How could that even be possible?
Desmond slowly stood up too. “Lydia is a rare talent in our field. She just doesn’t like the spotlight, and she’s not interested in recognition or awards. You say she skips classes or isn’t around campus, but does anyone actually know what she’s doing when she’s not here? Has anyone ever asked what she’s really working on?”

the next chapter is exciting...
the next upload is exciting. i cant wait....
Every chapter is missing a sentence from the end of every chapter. It’s frustrating to try guess what’s missing or said...
