"Why are we going to the hospital?" Tang Yue asked in return, "Is someone sick?"
"It’s Mr. Meng." Si Yu sat down with her and said, "He hasn’t been doing well this winter, and he’s spent quite a bit of time in the nursing home. It’s worsened over the past two days, and now he’s hospitalized."
"Is Mom going to take care of him?" Tang Yue thought of the elderly man with white hair and asked.
"No need for that, there are caregivers at the hospital." Si Yu didn’t say much else, just treating it as a visit to an elder.
Tang Yue knew what Si Yu was concerned about, and she held his hand saying, "Let’s go and take Zaozao and Chenchen with us."
"By the way, where did you say there are books for sale?"
Books for sale aren’t referring to a bookstore but rather a book manufacturer, buying a large quantity might get some discounts.
"Leave this to me, so what kind of books do you want to buy?" Si Yu asked in return.
Tang Yue didn’t understand much, she simply said, "Books suitable for the school library, choose what’s appropriate and buy those. By the way, when the books are sent to the school, don’t mention my name."
"Alright." Si Yu wasn’t surprised by this, he knew very well that his wife was kind-hearted and liked doing good deeds anonymously.

At the hospital.
Tang Yue and Si Yu each carried a child. When Tang Yue saw Mr. Meng, she was somewhat taken aback, recalling the time when he stood shakily in the yard, smiling and telling her to visit the Meng family whenever she had time. Though he was elderly then, he seemed much more spirited compared to now.
Mr. Meng lay on the bed; even with a smile on his face, his spirit wasn’t as vibrant as before.
"I already said it’s nothing, you shouldn’t have brought the kids, worrying they’ll catch something." Although Mr. Meng said this, he couldn’t help but keep glancing at the two children Si Yu and Tang Yue were holding.
The ward wasn’t cold, and after taking off the outer blankets, the children wore small jackets, one blue and one pink. Both children were well taken care of, plump and fair, smiling widely like little dolls in a painting, pleasing to the eye.
These were the descendants of the Meng family, the future generations of the Meng family.
Mr. Meng’s gaze at the two children was full of affection.
Tang Yue and Si Yu didn’t stay long because Mr. Meng was tired and needed rest.
"Mom, why has Grandpa’s health become so weak?"
On their way home, Tang Yue quietly asked.
Mo Xiaolin sighed and said, "He’s old, his health naturally declines. The old master had quite a few old injuries from back when he was displaced, even with careful care, those couldn’t be treated. And furthermore..." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Mo Xiaolin didn’t finish her sentence, but Tang Yue seemed to understand. Besides the incident with Meng Yanzhi back then, although now there was a grandson, Si Yu, old memories must have been hard on old Mr. Meng.
Mr. Meng worried too much, coupled with poor health, it naturally worsened things. Day after day, even a strong body would eventually give in, let alone Mr. Meng’s fragile health.
"Then, let’s visit Grandpa when we have time." Tang Yue said, suggesting that even visiting with the children every few days could lift his spirits.
"Alright, we’ll see when we have time." Mo Xiaolin knew how busy Tang Yue usually was.
As soon as they returned home, they saw Li Wei and Yan Dong standing outside with Xu Huan and Xu Le.
