Chapter 394 You Picked the Wrong Guy
A blast of source energy came straight at his face.
Peter instinctively brought his arms together to block it.
Boom!
“Ugh!”
Finished
Blood sprayed from his mouth as the blast detonated against his chest, sending him flying dozens of yards
back.
“Peter!” Steven shouted, fury flashing in his voice.
The rest of the team rushed in at full speed.
Wings burst into existence.
“Bianca, with me!”
Steven turned into a streak of fire and shot forward.

In his line of sight, the shadowy figure swept past the head–sized meteorite fragment.
The fragment vanished in an instant.
And the man didn’t hesitate for even a second before turning to run.
Peter spat out blood and roared, “You bastard!”
Steven surged forward. At a speed nearing a Divine King, it wasn’t something ordinary people could match.
He stared at the rapidly fleeing figure.
Rage surged through him. That piece of trash had actually ambushed them and stolen their prize halfway through!
He was determined to kill whoever that was.
Steven shouted, “Stay right there!”
The fleeing man glanced back and saw Steven closing in fast, flames blazing from his wings, and his heart jolted.
What the hell? How is he that fast?
Steven fired off a source energy blast.
The man’s expression changed as he cursed and dodged to the side.
But the aftershock still disrupted his rhythm.

And in that brief moment, Steven had already caught up.
Finished
The Dragon Spear in his hand roared as he thrust forward, flames erupting with overwhelming pressure.
At first, the man had been wary.
But when he saw only three Divine Sigils glowing on Steven’s body, his expression turned dismissive.
A Three–Sigil Divine Adept dared to come at me?
“You’re dead!”
He shouted back, drawing a saber.
He met Steven head–on.
“Get lost!”
But in the very next second, the instant the spear and saber collided, Kevin Thompson’s eyes nearly popped
out.
The terrifying force transmitted through the spear stunned him.
This makes no sense.
Isn’t he only Three–Sigil?
Even at the peak of Three–Sigil, even for someone focused on raw strength, there’s no way he should match a level 31 Divine Knight like me!
The gap between Three–Sigil and Four–Sigil was massive.
Boom!
The clash of spear and saber rang out.
Kevin was blasted backwards instantly.
His whole body felt like it was coming apart.
As he was thrown back, he saw a faint blue glow flicker across Steven’s body.
What the hell? B–rank?
You’ve got to be kidding.
A B–rank Three–Sigil Divine Adept has more raw strength than me, an S–rank Four–Sigil Divine Knight?
This has to be some kind of cheat.

Steven’s anger spiked even higher. Acting like the victim now?
