Reborn as the Boss Lady novel Chapter 15

Chapter 15 Stop the Emergency Treatment!

Hendrick looked up at him. The young bodyguard quickly changed his words.

“Mr. Quint said to put three slices of wild ginseng into Mr. Gael’s mouth. He also said to stop all emergency treatment, saying it was that person’s order.”

The straight-backed Hendrick sat in silence for a moment. Then he waved his hand, and someone immediately went to carry it out.

Inside the VIP ICU room.

Right then, the room was in total chaos from the rescue efforts. Suddenly, a guard with a strong, battle- hardened presence rushed in.

“Can’t you see we’re in the middle of an emergency? Get out!”

Georgia frowned, her proud face full of anger. As one of the country’s top female surgeons, she was also part of the team trying to save Hendrick’s grandson.

She had wanted to leave a good impression on Hendrick, but they still couldn’t even figure out what was causing the illness.

This setback hit her hard, shaking her usual confidence once again after years of smooth success.

The last time something like this had happened was when she treated Rosalie.

But the guard showed no politeness at all. He walked straight to the bed, forced the little boy’s mouth open. and shoved in the three slices of wild ginseng.

The sharp beeping of the machines quickly went quiet.

The numbers on the monitors began to return to normal, and everyone in the room watched in stunned silence.

“From this moment on, stop all emergency treatment.”

The guard turned around and scanned the room. His tone left no room for argument.

Ten minutes later.

Several black armored cars rushed through the hospital gates.

“Ms. Sinclair, we’ve arrived. Please get out of the car.”

Philip reached out, about to shake Wynne awake. But before he could touch her, the seemingly harmless girl across from him suddenly opened her eyes. Cold, sharp, and dangerous.

Even someone like Philip, an experienced man who had been through tough training camps, felt a jolt of shock.

“Can I rent a wheelchair?” Wynne yawned.

She honestly didn’t want to move at all.

Wheelchair? For her?

Philip was speechless.

Wynne sighed and gave up, stepping out of the car on her own.

The way inside was completely clear.

But as the group stepped out of the elevator, they ran into trouble.

Arguments echoed loudly down the hospital hallway outside the ward.

“Why did you stop Gael’s treatment?!”

A woman collapsed into her husband’s arms, crying so hard she could barely breathe. She was yelling at Hendrick, who sat silently on a bench without saying a word.

“Say something!” she shouted.

“Because if we keep treating him…”

A soft voice, a little hoarse and sleepy, drifted closer from farther away, drawing everyone’s attention.

Georgia, standing near a group of professors, frowned. The voice sounded familiar. When she followed the sound, a girl in a black hoodie, jeans, and canvas sneakers came into view.

“He’s going to die.”

Wynne lifted her hand and pushed back the hood covering most of her face, revealing a clear, strikingly pretty face.

Why is it her again?!

Georgia’s pupils shrank.

“You’re talking nonsense!” the woman shouted, unable to handle the shock from Wynne’s words.

“Mr. Chatwin, this is the ‘expert’ you brought in?”

The most senior professor on the medical team stepped forward to question her.

Ridiculous.

This was absolutely ridiculous.

This girl isn’t even grown yet, and she’s already here trying to scam people like this. What’s more ridiculous is that Mr. Chatwin actually believes her.

“We meet again.”

Wynne didn’t even look at the white-haired professor. She barely lifted a hand in Hendrick’s direction as a greeting. She was exhausted and just wanted to finish this quickly and get back to Sandmere Isle.

“You said it yesterday that Gael doesn’t have much time left,” Hendrick said, his voice old but steady, eyes locked sharply on her.

“How did you know that?”

“Are you really sure you want to talk about that right now?” Wynne replied flatly.

In her mind, she was already calculating. The child didn’t have much time left.

Hendrick said nothing.

Philip, Hendrick’s chief guard, couldn’t hold back and snapped at her, “Watch your mouth!”

Wynne let out an irritated, mocking laugh. She lifted a hand to block out Philip’s voice with one finger in her ear.

Annoying.

Hendrick raised his hand to stop Philip.

“What are you planning to do?” he asked.

“Surgery.”

“Ridiculous! Are you even an adult? Do you even have a medical license?”

The senior professor was so furious.

“I’m an adult. I don’t have a medical license.”

Wynne yawned again, clearly drowsy. At this moment, she really missed Jerome. At least he didn’t talk this much nonsense.

“You have two minutes to decide. After that, the child’s condition will keep getting worse.”

After saying that, she simply walked past everyone and sat down on a bench, leaving the choice entirely up to them.

Even though the hallway was packed with people, it was so quiet you could probably hear a pin drop.

“How confident are you?” Hendrick asked.

“Ten out of ten.”

Wynne answered him calmly, cold and almost ruthless.

Hah!

So arrogant!

She was just bluffing!

That girl really had some nerve.

Who would believe that?

“This is nonsense! Mr. Chatwin, you don’t seriously believe her, do you?” the senior professor demanded.

Wynne looked around with clear boredom in her eyes until she spotted a familiar face in the crowd.

Their eyes met.

She gave another sleepy yawn.

Georgia couldn’t help but roll her eyes. What’s wrong with her?

Does she even know who Mr. Chatwin is?
