Chapter 103 Winter Routine

Killian chuckled, reaching out to pinch Willa’s cheek, and said with a smile. “Don’t even think about it When we got married, I made it clear to the people of Westfield Town. Once you married me you cut ties with them completely. Otherwise, you go right back where you came from. If you think life over here is so unbearable, then go back to your parents’ house.”

Seeing Killian change his attitude so abruptly. Willa didn’t dare say another word.

Her expression turned ugly.

But knowing she couldn’t win against Killian, she swallowed her anger.

Her younger brother chimed in as well. “Yeah, you re living the good life now, but don’t forget about Mom and Dad! I don’t care about myself. I’m still young, not like them. They can’t keep living out in this cold. My brother-in-law has everything over there It’s only right for him to help take care of his in-laws! You’re carrying his child. He can’t be that stingy, can he?”

Willa looked troubled. “I brought it up with him, but he said no.”,

The moment her mother heard that, she smacked Willa several times. “Useless girl! I raised you, so it’s your job to take care of me when I’m old! Figure something out! I’ve had enough of living in this miserable place!”

It’s not like he’s gonna take care of me during postpartum recovery. He’s bound to need you guys eventually! Besides, he hands all his supplies over to me anyway, so I can take as much as I want. From now on, I’ll definitely bring more stuff back home to you guys!”

Autumn settled into a cozy routine for the long winter.

Every day, she sat by the little stove, roasting sweet potatoes, potatoes, taro, and corn.
