Reborn Cave Queen of the End Times novel Chapter 21

Chapter 21 Chaos Everywhere

“Every country and every major port is involved.”

“I see.” Autumn smiled. She already lacked for nothing, but who would ever turn down access to something better?

So she said, “I’ve heard there’s a type of survival pod made from aerospace-grade materials. It’s supposed to withstand earthquakes, tsunamis, and even volcanic eruptions without a problem. Could you bring ne one?”

A flicker passed through James’s eyes. “Of course. No problem. What size would you like?”

“One four-person model and one eight-person model,” Autumn replied. “How much do I owe?”

James answered with a smile, “Mr. Wright said there’s no charge. Consider it a gift between friends.”

“Hahaha! Great. Then thank him for me.” Autumn accepted without hesitation.

When James returned to report, he couldn’t resist asking a question. “Mr. Wright, Ms. Montclair is young and beautiful. Why don’t you…”

“Why don’t I date her and tie her down?” Leonel let out a mocking laugh. “Do you really think she’s like those ordinary women? The only thing on her mind is survival. Nothing else. If I stay friends with her she’ll lend me a hand when I need it. But if I try to make her my girlfriend, she’ll probably snap my neck while I’m asleep. Enough. Go do your job.”

James nodded thoughtfully. “Yes, sir.”

Leonel’s team was genuinely formidable.

They had the equipment, technology, talent, and manpower.

In just a few days, they had excavated most of the mountain.

Of course, that was also because the mountain itself wasn’t particularly tall or steep.

From the outside, it looked completely ordinary-barren, rocky, and lifeless.

Inside, it resembled a giant beehive. Passages and chambers spread throughout the mountain in dense layers.

Every cave had been specially reinforced. Every room was packed with supplies.

There were even indoor growing facilities equipped with artificial lighting designed to accelerate crop growth.

One section already contained rows of vibrant green vegetables.

If all they had to face were droughts, extreme heat, megastorms, hurricanes, tsunamis, blizzards, or sandstorms, they could handle them all with ease.

Compared to Leonel’s operation, Autumn’s shelter wasn’t even in the same league.

Her cave was little more than a simple, unremarkable house. The only notable addition was the open area around it, where she’d set up a few planter boxes growing scallions, ginger, garlic, chives, and peppers

That was precisely why Leonel was convinced she had a far greater trump card hidden away.

Otherwise, how could an almost empty shelter provide food, water, and everything else needed for survival?

Nobody was stupid.

At that moment, Autumn was lounging comfortably in a recliner, scrolling through her phone.
