Chapter 84 Choosing Sides

Twenty minutes later.

Not a single one of them was left alive.

Only the Azure Order’s leader remained. Dragging himself across the ground on his broken legs, he desperately crawled toward the exit, muttering nonstop, “You can’t kill me! I’m the leader! I can’t die here

A boot came down hard on his back, and the barrel of a rifle pressed against the back of his head.

The leader instantly threw both hands into the air, his face turning into a fake, flattering smile. “Sir, I know I was wrong! I swear I’ll never do it again!”

“Shut up.” Autumn nudged his head with the rifle. “Where did you hide the supplies?”

“Sir, everything I own is here! Please spare me! Just let me go!” He tried to turn his head, but she slammed his face into the ground, leaving him to make muffled sounds with his mouth full of dirt.

Beckett suddenly said, “There’s a tunnel here. I’m going down to check it out.”

“I’m coming too.” Leonel followed him right away.

Three minutes later, Leonel popped his head back out of the tunnel with a huge grin. “Autumn, we found his stash. There’s a lot of good stuff down here.”

“Mm.” Autumn gave a lazy nod and loosened her finger on the trigger.

“Bang!”

The shot sent the leader straight to hell.

Autumn slung the rifle over her shoulder, turned around, and jumped into the tunnel.

After walking a short distance, they found a huge underground cellar packed to the brim.

Leonel and Autumn were never short on supplies, but even they couldn’t help lighting up at the sight of the huge stockpile of insecticide and protective suits.

Leonel asked quietly, “Autumn, do you think this leader knew something ahead of time? Otherwise, why would he stockpile so much insecticide and protective suits? He should’ve been storing food and water instead.”

“Which means there’s more than one hidden cellar. Keep searching,” Autumn said.

Leonel unmediately turned to Beckett. “Let’s keep searching. I’ll have people move these supplies later. We’ll split everything evenly.”

Beckett agreed without hesitation.

Before leaving Leonel gave Autumn a meaningful look.

Autumn gave him a slight nod.

Once Beckett and Leonel were gone, Autumn waved her hand and stored every box of insecticide and every protective suit in the cellar into her storage space.
